First up I talk to return guest Ariel Posen who plays the Park Theatre next Friday night in support of his new album, Reasons Why. Then it's another former Winnipegger, T. Nautilus discussing his new release In the Limited Time. Tomorrow night is Nuit Blanche and I spoke to NB's GM Kurt Tittlemier about what goes into making the event a success and how he spends his night. And if you have energy to go out after the weekend, the best place to go is Blue Note Park on Monday the 25th to see Elliott BROOD who talk about their forthcoming albums and we debut a new track.
**please note the stream/podcast version of the episode does not feature the new Elliott BROOD song "Rose City" as it is under embargo and can only be heard on the FM broadcast.
On the show tonight I speak to Alexa Dirks - aka Begonia - about getting shortlisted for the Polaris Prize and her two night stand at Club Regent, with jazz legend Matthew Shipp about his new album and career and with Marek Tyler and Ryan Beattie of Wayfinding about making music and opening for Destroyer.

Then Winnipeg's own Danny Carroll, composer and musician joins me to talk about making Keys For Transformation, which he'll be releasing at a special show on August 30th at Westworth United Church.
Blues artist Sue Foley comes to Winnipeg next Wednesday night but before that she joins me on the show!
