Sometimes you just reach a point where you are DONE. Done with the expectations, the responsibilities, the constant demands, the drama, and honestly… just being a functioning human being. 😂
In this episode of Thanks, It's The Trauma, we're talking about what it means to check out as a human being. Not necessarily disappearing, but mentally clocking out, emotionally running on empty, and deciding that maybe today we're just not participating in all the things.
We're getting into the exhaustion of everyday life, social expectations, people-ing, responsibilities, and that overwhelming feeling of wanting everyone to just leave you alone for five freaking minutes.
So grab your favorite drink, turn off your notifications, and come check out with us for a little while. Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing. 🤣
Welcome to the club. We're tired, too.

Being a Southern Woman Comes With Rules… Nobody Actually Gave You 😂
Bless your heart… because apparently being a Southern woman comes with an entire rulebook that nobody bothered to hand us!
In this episode of Thanks, It’s The Trauma, we’re talking about all those unwritten rules of being a Southern woman—from manners, appearances, family expectations, and knowing how to behave in public, to the things you were taught you just don’t do… even if nobody ever actually explained why.
We’re sharing some of the classic Southern expectations we grew up with, the things that still make us say “Yes ma’am” out of habit, and the moments when we’ve realized just how much those unwritten rules have shaped us.
Of course, we’re also bringing our own experiences to the conversation because what would this podcast be without a little personal trauma sprinkled in? 😂
So grab your sweet tea, mind your manners, and join us for a conversation about Southern women, Southern culture, the expectations placed on us, and the rules we’re still trying to figure out whether we actually agree with.
Because sometimes being a Southern woman means smiling politely while internally screaming…
Thanks. It’s the trauma. 😂

Trina packed her bags, hopped on a plane, and headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico for Advocacy Con—and, of course, the trip came with plenty of adventures along the way!
In this episode of Thanks, It’s The Trauma, Trina takes us along for the ride as she shares what it was like attending Advocacy Con, connecting with fellow advocates, learning from incredible speakers, and discovering just how big the missing persons and advocacy community really is.
But this episode isn't just about the conference. There were airport adventures, new experiences, unexpected moments, plenty of laughs, and all the random things that happen when you get two people talking about a trip and realize the stories in between the "important stuff" are sometimes the best part.
From Albuquerque to Advocacy Con and everything in between, Trina gives us the good, the funny, the chaotic, and the meaningful.
Because sometimes the best adventures aren't the ones you planned—they're the ones that make the best stories later.

You know those episodes where we hit record and have absolutely no idea where the conversation is going to go? Yeah… this is one of those.
For this Off the Cuff, Krystal came with a topic she wanted to dive into—the Lindsey Clancy case—and, as usual, one conversation quickly turned into several. We talk about the case, our thoughts and reactions, and then somehow manage to wander into plenty of other topics along the way.
No script. No carefully planned agenda. Just two friends talking about the things that are on their minds, asking questions, sharing opinions, and occasionally going down a rabbit hole or two.
Because sometimes the best conversations are the ones you didn't plan.
🎙️ Hit play, hang out with us, and see where the conversation takes us this time. And if you know us, you already know… it probably won't stay on topic for long!
