Today, I have the amazing opportunity to sit down with a three times paralympian, two times gold medallist and silver medallist, Libby Clegg. Libby talks about growing up and finding school not so easy when having a visual impairment, how she got into athletics, the thrill she gets from performing in front of big crowds, going to 3 consecutive Paralympics and hopefully a fourth, getting to the dancing on ice final and much much more.

Today i had the opportunity to sit down with simon brown, a former mechanical engineer in the British army for over 10 years. Simon had a fairly normal life up until 2009 when he was attacked by the enemy in Iraq which lead to him losing almost 3\4 of his vision. He talks his life in the army up until that day and the recovery following it which wasn’t easy but simon was determined to make a difference not only in his life but others as well. We also talk about how blind veterans UK helped him get back on his feet and what his aims are for the future.

In the second instalment of A Blind Insight, I talk to Tokyo Paralympics hopeful, Kyle Coon. He tells me about losing his site to cancer as a child. Being told he can’t pack groceries as a teen all the way to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, completing an Ironman triathlon multiple times and going on many more incredible adventures. He also talked about how close he was to starting the trials for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and that he hopes he can get to the rescheduled event next year. Enjoy!
