“Look out Gotham! The Joker’s back in town!”

We're back and bigger than ever! After a large bout of sickness, festive down time and technical problems we come to you with this Bumper Giant Size Episode. We begin by answering some VERY interesting twitter questions from listeners. Which takes us nicely into showing off our Christmas pressies/swag to each other. Some have more than others and we go all out to try and make each other jealous.

If that wasn’t enough for you, we even had a main topic of our Top 3 Bronze Age comics! As we find out though, we barely scratch the surface on such an iconic and defining era in comic history. That doesn’t stop us completely smothering ourselves in bronze-age goodness and sharing some incredible favourites.

This and all the usual comics chat on the only comics podcast that one day would love to be sponsored by a biscuit. I mean I think we eat enough…

“Merry Christmas from all at That Comic Smell Podcast and a very Happy New Year”

HO! HO! HO! Welcome all. In this bumper Christmas special the folks sit down to Christmas Dinner. Grab that chair and get stuck in with us. After stuffing your face (much like we did) jump in to hear what some kids asked the podcast. Yes, children actually asked us questions. Who’d have thought it ay?

We also get even more festive. Each of us bring along a Christmas comic to show off and discuss.

This and all the usual comics chat on the only comics podcast to be on Santa’s Nice, Naughty and very indifferent list…

“Nuff Said”

Welcome Heroes of Gaul and Spidey Friends! In this episode of That Comic Smell we take a dive into the into the pool and get as tough as Obelix to take on those romans for ourselves. Yes, we tackle the legend that is “Asterix” but not before we have a little goodbye to another comics giant, Stan Lee. We reminisce over some of our Stan written/ influenced books and Nando reads a very touching piece he wrote upon hearing the sad news.

Although there is a sadness in the first section of the podcast, Asterix and A LOT of sugar seems to make the folks here go a little mad as we laugh and gibber our way through various other topics such as toilet reading and what we have been reading lately.

This and all the usual comics chat on the only comics podcast that can be enjoyed both on and off the toilet…

Hello! Welcome to a very Special episode of That Comic Smell. Most the folks aren’t here but you still have lone boy Tom. He took a little trip to the first ever Dundee Zine Fest last Saturday and managed to get a chance to chat to a couple of folks whilst he was there. Appearances on this episode include, past guest and award winning creator Catriona Laird, Music man and surreal comics extraordinaire Joan Edam and so much more. Including the event organisers themselves. Also, if that wasn’t enough, stick around until the end and get an incredible wrap up with another previous guest and all round awesome and hilarious creator Olivia Hicks.

This episode was recorded back in May, so apologies if anything seems dated now.

We discuss our first experiences with him, the movies and all things Supes.

We take a little trip back in time with the power of EDITING!!

Yes, we are digging into the archives for this one, recorded back in June before HQ relocated. David, Mike and Tom get together to talk about 2 comic titles that you would recommend to people that aren’t necessarily comics readers. Surprise, Surprise, it’s a nice eclectic round up of comics hidden gems and greats!

There is also a little shout out section before we get into this episode so make sure to check it out.

“Now we open the floor to a little Q&A”

Hello!! Welcome back to another episode of That Comic Smell where we have got all The Riddler up in here and started quizzing folks. Tom got some questions together for the folks and they all tried to answer as best they can. We also put the call-out to our followers if they would like to ask us anything and low and behold some of them actually did! As a little peak behind the curtain also, Nando was meant to be joining us via Skype but the connection was awful so unfortunately once we did manage he couldn’t really hear us. Sorry to all you Nando fans.

This one has some unusual questions, although even more unusual answers. So strap yourselves in, this is going to be a good one.
