The dawn of the decade! Some of the cards look like they're from Dawn of the Dead instead. 1970-71 Topps basketball has all the gore in full blown technocolor. If you like short short then we like short shorts.

They'rrrrrrrre Great! They really are. Great pics always beats horrible back of card copy. Small in size, small in quantity but easy on the eyes and stomach. The cereal aisle was never as fun as when Kellogg's was slinging.

The 1974 Topps Football set featured a whole bunch of obvious: Obvious front and back designs, obvious hair, and obviously marginal looking fellas wearing shoulder pads.

This set was more confusing than my Ancestry.com results. Lawsuits, error cards, Year of issue ambiguity. Plus Maury Wills in a trench coat. I try to unwrap this semi-gorgeous set. Perhaps I should've left it clothed.

We're back with the shovel and digging deep into the sets. Dad facts comes in heavy with more than one Tricky Dick reference and the greatest band ever releases their first of four straight masterpieces. Hockey rocked in the '70s, and the drunk uncles had the haircuts to prove it.
