The relationship between Israel and the Church has long been a topic of discussion and debate amongst believers. Has the Church replaced Israel as God's covenant people? Do the people of Israel still have promises from God requiring future fulfillment? Is there any connection at all between the Church and the Jewish people?

In our new series, Israel and the Church, we will take the time to thoroughly and concretely answer all of these questions. In today's episode, we start by covering some of the backgrounds for understanding this important issue. Some of the things we discuss in today's episode include the immense heritage that Christianity receives from the Jewish people, the history of the Church's relationship with Israel (hint: it's not good), and the modern theologies that attempt to explain how Israel and the Church coexist.

Family Matters, folks! This week we're continuing our discussion on the family by talking about a central relationship within the family unit, the one that exists between parents and children. God has much to say about how children are to treat their parents and how parents are to shepherd their children. One of the key indicators of a society in decline is when parents, and the older population in general, stop being respected, honored, and cared for. Sound familiar? Likewise, did you know that God says the evidence of a parent's love can be seen in whether or not they discipline their children? God is so counter-cultural, and it's awesome!

God has given us an abundance of insight into how the parent/child relationship was designed to work, and as followers of Jesus, how we steward these relationships in our own lives is a key part of our witness to the world. We hope this episode helps you to do that better;-).
