She spoke to Sinéad about how important the brain is for our overall health and how we don't give it enough attention. She is hoping to create awareness of better brain health through the book.

    It's not everyday you hear about a podcast for teens tackling issues like mental health, covid and social issues hosted by a 17 year old! Amelhyne O Reagan Fairneau told Sinéad that she was inspired to set up the podcast 'Talk about it' after 2 young people in her local community committed suicide. She feels more needs to be done to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues and she is proud to be providing a platform for teens to open up about issues that affect them.

  • Clare O Connor agent of change!
    In 2004 Clare O Connor from Co. Meath was one of a handful of women who made history as they earned a degree in engineering, Clare then spent over 15 years on land and sea working as a marine engineer before pivoting changing her career completely to become a coach and mentor. She shared her career journey with Sinéad and highlighted her work with the Meath branch of Network Ireland who are celebrating their women in business awards soon.

    On menstrual health day yoga teacher Kitty Maguire wants to change our perceptions around menstruation as being something 'unclean' shrouded in shame. She set up Revolution period a festival and movement dedicated to promoting menstruation, creativity and vitality and to promote menstruation as a positive experience. Through the events she is hoping to raise money and support to end period stigma and period poverty.

    Since it opened it's doors in 1831 Dublin Zoo has been beloved by generations of Irish people. This year they celebrate their 190th anniversary. Catherine Du Coercy historian and author who has written numerous publications on the Zoo's history told Sinéad about the Zoo's humble beginnings, the many challenges they faced from famine times to the present pandemic. Catherine shared great memories of the Zoo and gave more insight into the rumour surrounding the MGM lion's connection to Dublin Zoo.
