Last month, Congress passed a $1.65 trillion government funding bill that provides record allocations for defense and sends more emergency aid to Ukraine. The bill passed by a 225-201 vote in the House, largely along party lines, after passing the Senate 68-29, with the support of 18 Senate Republicans, including minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). The bill is a massive, 4,100-page piece of legislation that does not only pertain to funding, but also implements new laws.
