Penn and Pops hilariously deliver their (not so) expert March Madness analysis while dealing with every technical difficulty possible.. Live on air. In true “Penn and Pops” fashion, they handle it, laugh it off and keep it movin’. They discuss and breakdown the 3 teams who made the NCAA Tournament from the state of Indiana; the Purdue Boilermakers, Indiana Hoosiers, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They debate over which player is set to make a greater impact on the big stage; Jaden Ivey, Trayce Jackson Davis or “Freshman Phenom” Blake Wesley.
During the ‘Top Seeds’ segment, Penn stakes his claim for the Arizona Wildcats to make a deep Tournament run while (somewhat) questioning Mark Few’s postseason success, the Gonzaga Bulldogs program and their strength of schedule.. or lack there of. Pops is intrigued by the Kansas Jayhawks as they’ve been on a pretty good run lately. He questions their ability to make it to the Final Four given the challenges of the Midwest bracket. They agree that the Baylor Bears could and should be the first #1 seed ousted due to the injuries of a few key players.
Pops, a die-hard University of Michigan fan, considers the Wolverines a sleeper along w/ the Colgate Raiders. Penn’s sleeper picks include the Saint Mary’s Gaels and the Akron Zips out of the MAC, a Conference known for making deep NCAA Tournament runs. In The Final Print segment, they exchange thoughts on the Carson Wentz trade along w/ the departure of Coach Krzyzewski. As North Carolina fans, they don’t really care much. ✌🏿✌🏽
Enjoy Episode 4, peeps. It’s a doozie.
