Last weekend, @ChattanoogaFC started a new phase in the club's history when it played its first match as a professional club. However, there was one fan (a fan who has attended every game in CFC's history) who was not there. This week, we speak with El Conductor (@ElComish) and he talks about how he got involved with the club, some of his favorite memories, and how he decided that it was time to stop. Finally, you get a sense of what the podcast would be like if @gr8ftblr were to take complete control of the pod. Thanks for listening and enjoy!
In tonight's PMR, we review @ChattanoogaFC's first match as a member of @NISALeague against @OaklandRootsSC. We're professional y'all! It was a good night and it was a frustrating night for the Blues. Things started out well, as first-year mid-fielder Ian McGrath put home a header off a Kyle Carr corner kick for CFC's first goal as a professional club. It looked like CFC would take all three points as time went on. However, a late equalizer from Jack McInerney spoiled the NISA debut for CFC as the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The Blues still got a result and will be heading back east with a point. Next up, CFC will take on the Michigan Stars at Finley on March 14th. We hope to see you there and, as always, thanks for listening. Enjoy!
In this episode, we spoke with @StephenDaviesCA. He did play-by-play for @OaklandRootSSC last year. We covered his personal soccer journey, a little bit about the culture of the Roots, and a preview of Saturday's match with @ChattanoogaFC. Enjoy!
As we've recently mentioned, we're shifting gears for a couple of weeks to take a look at youth soccer. This week for the @DosBrosMexGrill interview of the week, we sit down with Mark Harrison, the President of @CFCASoccer. We talk about the recent history of youth soccer in the Scenic City, the present state of CFCA, and where he sees the Academy going in the future. That's not to say that @gr8ftblr and @ChattaGooner don't have plenty to say about new signings and other news surrounding the Blues! Enjoy!
EXTRA, EXTRA ... @ChattaGooner sits down with the @Section109Pod guys: @andrewbresee, @WhiskeyIsFine, and @ASmittyKnows for a special episode to talk about all the @ChattanoogaFC news of the week. Hope y'all enjoy it!
P.S. There's a special appearance from a special person from our special FO.
This week, we are changing gears a bit and talking about youth soccer in Tennessee. In a wide-ranging conversation with @TennesseeSoccer Executive Director, Hans Hobson, we discuss the structure of @ussoccer, how TSSA voted in the last USSF election, and the potential impact of new professional organizations will have on soccer in Tennessee. We also hear Mr. Hobson's thoughts on some of the struggles and opportunities TSSA faces in working toward their mission in Tennessee. Enjoy!
In this episode, we sit down with new @ChattanoogaFC Managing Director, Jeremy Alumbaugh, In this interview, we cover a range of topics including CFC season tickets, why he won't give us the damn schedule, and the time he almost killed Dennis Bergkamp and was almost run over by Thierry Henry. Enjoy!
This week, we sit down with Owen Seaton, @ChattanoogaFC's new Chief Marketing Officer (@cfc_cmo). We talk about the future of CFC matchday production, webcasting, season tickets, sponsorships, and more. We also cover the new structure of the US Open Cup. Finally, we thank those who have been with us through this first season of the podcast. We hope that all have a safe and happy holiday and new year and we'll see you in 2020!
In this episode, we talk with David Smotherman (aka @CFCMerchBooth) about today's announcement of @ChattanoogaFC's new kit partner @HummelUSA. We talk about why CFC went with Hummel and what it means for CFC and supporters. Then, we cover some late-breaking news from @Chattahooligan regarding a fundraising opportunity for a potential reboot of the CFC Women's team. Enjoy!
Good News! This week you don't have to listen to Jim and Todd ramble on ... much. Instead, we touch base with @TimothyAkelly, @ChattanoogaFC Chairman and Co-founder to discuss the recent @NISALeague meetings and what's in store for the club going into the spring season. After that, we reconnect with John Frusciante from @FirstTeamPod to talk about the news that the @NYCosmos applied and were accepted into NISA (pending USSF approval; what could go wrong with that). Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving to all of our listeners in the US!
