Welcome back to the Micro Podcast on Podcasting I'm your host, Christine Blosdale, your motivational multimedia coach. I teach people how to create their own podcast and podcast, which is the video version of their podcast for. And social media platforms.
And before I get started, I just wanted to give a big shout out to the United Kingdom, the UK, whom has made the micro podcast on podcasting number 36 in the How To category on Apple Podcasts!
Thank you so much, United Kingdom. I'll keep trying to impress you as much as I can with these episodes. So thank you again. For your wonderful support and for listening to the Micro podcast on podcasting today we're gonna talk about one of the most popular questions that I get asked when I'm training someone to create their own podcast.
And that is, With so many podcasts available, is it worth my time actually creating my own podcast? To put it simply, yes, it's worth it. If you're a coach or a consultant, or you have a product or a service that you wanna offer the world, one of the best ways to market your business is through a podcast.
Now, I say that with a bit of a warning. You do not wanna make your podcast very salesy and all about you and your business. No, no. You want to make sure that your. Inspires, motivates, educates, entertains. If you have the ability to do any of those things, educate, inspire, motivate, entertain. If you have the ability to do that, then you have the ability to give your audience something that they need.
And it doesn't matter if there's a gazillion podcast out there. You are unique and this, I have to drive home the point all the time with my coaching clients. You are unique. and only you possess the skillset and the gifts. You have, maybe you're an expert at time management and you have the ability to give people tips and tricks on how they can better manage their time and maybe have a healthy work family balance.
If that's your skillset, then you need to create a podcast and help people do that again. There might be other podcasts that deal with time management, but there's only one you. There's only one you, and you have a unique perspective on life, on business, on philosophy, whatever. It is the topic that you want to talk about on your show.
You have a very unique perspective, and that's why when I'm coaching my clients, I make sure that they tune in to what that uniqueness is and that. Get that across in their podcast show. So don't worry about how many other podcasts there are. Focus on yours, make it the best it can be, and make it a true representative of who you are.
I have a long format podcast out of the box with Christine, the podcast for Conscious Entrepreneurs, and I also have a short form or a micro podcast, which is the micro podcast on podcast. In each of those shows, I make sure that I create the best content that I can. That's what you do in life in general, right?
You wanna make sure that you do your best, and trust me, the right people will hear it. And if you're doing the video version of the podcast, the right people will see it. Well, if that's a question you've had on your mind, I hope I answered it. If you wanna reach out to me for any of your podcasting questions, you can do so by going to ChristineBlosdale.com.
