Humility - Jesus stepped into the world not as a mighty king or the child of a rich man, but as a baby born in a manger among animals and poor shepherds, in the little town of Bethlehem.  Christmas is a season of humility, where we realize true greatness comes not from exalting ourselves but through focusing on the glory of God!  Find out more on today's episode of The 8 Minute Devotion, the tenth of the 12 Messages of Christmas.

Another name for the "Child" in Isaiah 9 was Everlasting Father - Jesus demonstrated a father's heart through the tremendous compassion He showed throughout His ministry!  He is still a God of compassion and desires the best for each of His children.  Find out more on the fourth of our our 12 Christmas messages on The 8 Minute Devotion!

On the 3rd message of Christmas on The 8 Minute Devotion, we see that the child that was born in the manger would be called "Mighty God" - He was a Healer who came to free His people from every type of physical ailment!  Jesus demonstrated His healing power over and over during His earthly ministry, and He still heals today!

700 years before Jesus came into the earth, the prophet Isaiah declared "a child would be born."  He then gives 4 names for this child - Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).  The first name, Wonderful Counselor, showed that the Child in the manger would become an extraordinary teacher.  Hear more in the 2nd Christmas message on The 8 Minute Devotion!
