Welcome to The 90s Never Happened, your one-stop podcast for everything you wanted to know about 90s comics but are too afraid to ask!
This week, Dan and Bree welcome CJ Behsara to sub for Jude, who once again got lost in Canada. Speaking of Canada, we're reading Alpha Flight #106 from March of 1992. This 'landmark' comic shows you Northstar as you've never known him before! Also, there's a graphic and harrowing tale about an AIDS baby. No, seriously.
Join us as we dissect this issue, its contents, and how it handled the AIDS epidemic in true 90s style. There's not much else to say without giving it away...

Content warning: The comic we read this week deals with pediatric AIDS, homosexuality, and the grief and stigma attached to these subjects. Though we will be poking fun at the comic and how it was written, we will not be insulting anyone who has suffered or have lost due to this horrible disease. The subject matter contained within the story gets heavy and dark at times.

I bet you thought we were done with 1992-93's X-Title crossover X-Cutioner's Song, but it turns out you were WRONG! It also turns out that Marvel decided to end this beefy storyline with a trio of comic book epilogues with Uncanny X-Men #297 (Song’s End), X-Factor #87 (X-Aminations), and X-Force #19 (The Dream Divided). We slog our way through these issues to put the punctuation on a crossover that already felt too full.
How does Professor X fair when Jubilee puts him on wheels? Are Beast and Archangel going to guest star on This Old House? Is any member of X-Factor fit to wear tights? Why is Boom Boom so obsessed with clothes? We'll answer all these questions and more in X-Cutioner's X-Pilogue!

Finally, we finish 1992-93's X-Men X-Over X-Cutioner's Song, and it has x-hausted us! This episode, we read parts 10-12 from 1993’s X-Factor #86, X-Men #16, & X-Force #18 and go out in style. Stryfe is still on his mommy/daddy fetishist bullshit, Wolverine wants some hot moon action, and all the plot points that have been driving us bananas are all resolved...ish.
Get your teleporter fired up, your secret moon base full of beer, and your enemies all in one room for this massive ending to an overstuffed storyline! Do Dan, Jude, and Bree make it weird? You bet they do!

Dan, Jude, and Bree continuing their coverage of 92-93's mutant saga X-Cutioner's song this week with parts 7-9: X-Men #15, X-Force #17, & Uncanny X-Men 296. Stryfe give us some slam poetry while acting out some torture fetish shit with Cyclops and Jean, Cable hangs out with Wolverine and Bishop for some coffee talk, and Professor X is still dying. Find out what's going on with all your favorites in our penultimate episode of this massive x-over event! Also, what the fuck is up with Apocalypse and what the hell happened to Mr. Sinister?! This plot has been stretched to its limit, and we're still not done!

Last time on The 90s Never Happened, we read the first chunk of 1993-94's X-Cutioner's Song crossover event! This time, we're still friggin' reading it! That's right, we're getting pouch-deep in parts 4-6 in X-Force #16, Uncanny X-Men 295, & X-Factor #85!
The X-Men battles X-Force, Cyclops and Jean Grey are missing, Professor X is dead(ish), and there are more story arcs and villains than we care to count. So grab your daddy issues, wake yourself up early from your immortal slumber. It's time for a heaping helping of 90s X nonsense!

It's time for our next big crossover, and we're going back to X-mags to read 93-94's X-Cutioner's song event. Yes, I did spell that correctly. We read the first three parts laid out in Uncanny X-Men 294, X-Factor 84, & X-Men 14. Find out how many mutant heroes, villains, and human pals Marvel can cram into a single storyline. Start this crossover off with a bang and strap yourself in. This one is gonna be messy.

We asked and you answered by...uh...asking! For the first time ever, we answer some of our fan's most alluring questions. Who carries loose spaghetti in their pouch? Why is Jude on the run from Canadian Mounties? Who's nailing who at the X-Mansion? We answer these and more! Hell, we even answer some questions no one asked!

You wanted more Luke Cage, so we're bringing you more Luke Cage! Well, Jude and Bree wanted more Luke Cage, but we've brought you more anyway. In today's episode, we go over 1992's Cage issues 3 and 4 guest starring the 90's favorite grumpy gus: The Punisher. We go over all the hits, kicks, time traveling, and leather-clad fun. And do the ladies get horny? You bet they do!

Jude and Bree have been absolutely frothing at the bit for an episode about marvel's hardest hero. He's big, he's bald, he's badass. I'm speaking, of course, of Luke Cage. Daniel has his work cut out for him presenting the first two issues of 1992's Cage to the horniest women this side of a comic book store! So join the fun, bark like a dog, and cross the line into the inappropriate.
