The A1 Podcast

In this episode I chat to musician & entrepreneur Siya Metane commonly known as Slikour from Slikour on life. We chat about the realities of pivoting from one career to another. Slikour has been able to achieve this successfully from being one of the co-founding members of the award winning hip hop group Skwatta kamp to launching one of (if not the biggest) hip hop community based platforms in South Africa. So I felt he was the perfect person to chat to about pivoting successfully.

With all that 2020 has brought in this first half of the year with a global pandemic, the uprising against injustice from black lives matter, to gender based violence and xenophobia, 2020 has brought a lot of hard times. BUT there can be gems during hard times and so I chat about it and share what mentality has helped me so far and I hope they can help you too.

In this episode I talk about overcoming self doubt & fear. With many  forced to pivot, start over, start something new or finally pursue something they've always wanted to do one of the first things that creep in is fear, self doubt and unbelief. It's something every single person in this world has to deal with and every successful person has had to overcome. In this episode I talk about my experience with it and how I am currently working towards overcoming it.
