The A.C. Stories

For this Otaku News Reviews, I talk about the OELN Omega: Destiny Awaken before it is delisted from Vic's Lab on April 21. It is a seemingly typical supernatural school story with a pretty cool and unique supernatural power system, which is already enough to make this book worth checking out.

It is April Fools' Day on this Otaku News Opinions, so be warned that it felt inappropriate to do this any other way. I wondered if this day was ever in anime/manga/light novels as well as which character is the best prankster. Anyways...uh...here you go...

Also, trust me and start at 1:48

The short-lived series Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru is over with this fifth volume. Regardless of the abrupt ending, I am actually okay with how it ended, but I of course still wanted more. It felt like it was just starting; oh well.

As Saint Patrick's Day approached, I tried to think of any time in anime, manga, or light novels where the holiday was celebrated. After an unfruitful search, I realized my answer.

For this Otaku News Reviews, I cover two Original English Light Novels by Joshua Piedra. As depressing as these prequels are, A.R. Dragonfly Origins: Episode Amber and Episode Kaito both give the great background stories on these characters that I craved.

2021 is starting off with a strong show of stupidity. Although copyright strikes from anime companies are nothing new, apparently companies like Shueisha and Kadokawa want to remind everyone they can still flex.

Update!  - Shueisha told Anime News Network they had no involvement with the copyright strikes, and it was a third party.
