Today we are talking about tip #3 for how to develop a success-oriented mindset, which is to Set Smaller, More Achievable Goals.
If you start by trying to tackle larger goals, you may get discouraged if you don’t reach them as soon as you’d like. By setting smaller, more achievable goals, you can boost your self-esteem and confidence when you achieve those goals.
Think of it as taking baby steps up a ladder rather than trying to jump straight to the top from the ground floor. You’ll still get there if you take one step at a time, and with each step you take, you’ll have the confidence to reach for the next one.
It also helps to make the smaller goals more actionable and specific, so you know exactly what needs to be done in order to reach that goal. For example, instead of saying you want to exercise before you start working each morning, you can set a goal of running one mile before you start working, or even more specifically, running a mile in a certain time frame.
Tune in tomorrow for tip #4 for how develop a success-oriented mindset.
