This episode was inspired by the Back to School Refresh I hosted this week - an opportunity for music students and educators to learn some anatomy and develop new and helpful practice strategies. It was so much fun!
In this episode, I talk about the evolution of what practice means to me, how it has changed, what makes it feel toxic and gross, and different practice strategies. Finally, I give you a reframe for how to make practice time a more curious endeavor and less rigid.
At the beginning of this episode, I shout out All Seated in a Barn for their amazing work saving horses from slaughter. Please support them and this effort. It is near and dear to my heart.
Also, if you want don't receive emails from me, please join the club. Click this link and click the pop-up (or banner at the very bottom) to sign up for the inside scoop and know what's going on and what I'm up to before everyone else...like the refresh.

Lastly, please rate, review and SHARE this episode if you found it helpful and interesting. I'm just a one-woman band, so I appreciate all the love and support I can get.
Thank you, friends!
Last week, I took a retreat for myself. Nothing fancy or formal - just an intention to dive into self-study, set some personal goals, focus my attention and intention on positive growth and dreams not lack and stress. Take a listen and tell me what you think. I want to do another one soon! Maybe my whole life should feel like a retreat. Wouldn't that be amazing?

I get asked all the time about the details of playing music for animals, so I thought I'd share some insight with you here. Playing music for animals has changed my life in so many ways and I'm so happy to share it with you here AND have more opportunities to share and commune with them. It really is a privilege.
I first started playing at The Gentle Barn. Please support them and their beautiful mission. You can learn more about them here https://www.gentlebarn.org.
