Even as the conversation around GBV keeps giving a vibe of a battle between men and women, the Bible hasn't been silent on the issue. The conversation shouldn't be seen as a leech against men by women or those with an agenda to alter God's design. Even if there are those with such sinister motives, the intent of GBV isn't about changing a particular gender but about creating a just and equitable society. As Christian men, our charge is plain and straightforward- treat women in our circles with the utmost purity.

It is time for us as Christian men to engage in sexual and gender-based violence as champions of the fight, not perpetrators. In this three-part conversation, we will challenge our ideas around gender equality, our actions, and deep analysis of some of the scriptures religious warriors use to continue the cycle of GBV. Today’s episode will explore the three stages of men's gender understanding and experience. And answer the question of how men can be champions in the fight against not perpetrators of GBV.

All men and women who have shaped the cause of the world were people of deep faith in God. Isaac Newton, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, you name them. Even in contemporary times, their deep religious faith drives the causes they champion, from education to health care and technology. They are and were social justice crusaders. We wouldn't hear about some of them because their work is done quietly and self-effacing, all in the name of Christ. God's standard is for us to demonstrate our faith in our work as flight attendants, pilots, teachers, nannies, or even without a job title.
