Holmes and Watson are still in Cornwall, continuing their investigation into the death of Brenda Tregennis. After examining the scene of the crime, they unexpectedly encounter the famous explorer Dr. Leon Sterndale. His appearance in Cornwall just at the time of the mysterious death is suspicious, and his shifty behavior with Holmes doesn't help matters. But before Holmes can make any deductions, there is news of yet another death: Brenda's brother Mortimer Tregennis. The case is getting more complex, and as it does, let it help carry you into a night of restful sleep.
