Sherlock Holmes's day has just been interrupted by a new client, and she is determined to be heard. Miss Violet Smith, the solitary cyclist of Charlington, has come to Holmes with a most interesting dilemma. She recently came into money from a long-lost dead relative, and has started a new job as a governess and music teacher in Surrey. But the true mystery is the dark figure who has started following her on her bicycle on her solitary rides every week. Holmes and Watson make trips to Surrey to investigate, with each uncovering some unsavory characters, but nothing conclusive. Yet, Holmes is convinced that there is something more serious lurking beneath this case. As he begins a new investigation, let the tale of the solitary cyclist take you on a ride into a night of peaceful and relaxing sleep.
