Most of the time, who gets credit for an affiliate sale (first click or last click) doesn't matter. But there is one exception to that rule that I share today.
In yesterday's episode I said that usually it doesn't matter if first click or last click gets credit for an affiliate sale. Today, I share the caveat I mentioned.

Today, I'm going to settle one of the great debates in the affiliate marketing world. Who should get credit for a sale...first click or last click?
This debate has raged for more than a decade and honestly there is no great answer, but this episode should help you decide. And if you are an affiliate, it will help you ultimately not to worry about it.

What should you do about affiliate saturation? Is it really a problem? Here's my take.
Jim Woods recently asked in a blog comment:
I'm on several lists that will be promoting Tribewriters at the same time, so I'll get a ton of emails about that. This leads to fatigue and unsubscribing or ignoring emails (even after the affiliate campaign). I'm sure many others are in the same place. (Maybe not the majority, but I've heard others talk about this as well.)
Here's my response to Jim and to this perceived problem in the industry.

If someone opts in through your affiliate link, should you continue to email them?
That's the question I got recently from an affiliate. Here's my answer.
Gundi Gabrielle asked this recently during Nick Stephenson's affiliate launch: "quick question though, my current optins all come from the free Reader Magnets book. Obviously, they were signed up to an auto responder. Does that auto responder include all the free videos, webinar invite, etc.? In other words, I don't have to contact those leads again? In this episode, I answer Gundi's question.
