Europeans brutalized their own children for thousands of years prior to crossing the Atlantic to the New World and colonizing Africa. Historians and anthropologists have found no evidence that ritualistic forms of physical discipline of children existed in precolonial West African societies prior to the Atlantic slave trade. West African societies held children in a much higher regard than slave societies in the Atlantic world, which placed emphasis on black bodies as property, not as human beings. West Africans believed that children came from the afterlife, that they were gods or reincarnated ancestors…” (Dr Stacey Patton)

It could cost California more than $800 billion to compensate Black residents for generations of over-policing, disproportionate incarceration and housing discrimination, economists have told a state panel considering reparations.

The 1944 G.I. Bill’s Promise was denied to 1 Million Black WWII Veterans due to Racism.  The G.I. Bill Restoration Act to resolve GI Bill Racial inequities introduced by Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) and Seth Moulton, (D-Mass) would help benefit the families of Black WWII veterans and highlight the story of WWII Veteran, Sgt. Around this time of the year you will see St. Patrick’s Day Parades, Kiss Me I’m Irish T-Shirts, Green Beer, etc. It is expected that over 130 million Americans will spend approximately $6.9 Billion on St. Patrick Related items. One of the strangest things you will see is African Americans participating in this “celebration”. Do you really know what you are celebrating? Have you studied the history of St. Patrick’s Day? Even if you claim that you have Irish Ancestry do you really know what you are celebrating? Did you know that Patrick was not Irish he was British? Why do we participate in celebrations without knowing what we are participating in? If you wear Green on St. Patrick’s Day, will you wear Red, Black & Green on African Liberation Day? If not, why not? I’m pretty sure you have more African Ancestry than Irish Ancestry.

'San Francisco proposes over 100 Reparations ideas including $5 million each for eligible Black people' - 'The Culture' with guest Michael Imhotep founder of 'The African History Network' - 3-16-23

Payments of $5 million to every eligible Black adult, the elimination of personal debt and tax burdens, guaranteed annual incomes of at least $97,000 for 250 years and homes in San Francisco for just $1 a family.  Many Reparations advocates have dismissed the the $5 million idea as 'Unrealistic' and a distraction from other realistic suggestions.

These were some of the more than 100 recommendations made by a city-appointed reparations committee tasked with the thorny question of how to atone for centuries of slavery and systemic racism. And the San Francisco Board of Supervisors hearing the report for the first time Tuesday voiced enthusiastic support for the ideas listed, with some saying money should not stop the city from doing the right thing.
