In hour three on Monday, I continued to discuss the Covid-19 cases and numbers. I also got into the social unrest that has been allowed to occur in several cities, including Atlanta. By the end, I repeated the words from Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms regarding the murder of an 8 year old girl riding in her car seat. The Wendy's with that had been burned down in the wake of the police shooing Rayshard Brooks and turned into a mini "opportunity zone." Well, someone took the opportunity to needlessly kill a child. As the father stated, "You say black lives matter, but this time you took one of your own."

We discussed the issue of convoluted data on the CDC website related to Covid-19, the confusion over mortality, who should be protected and herd immunity. We also spent time going through the data the CDC has collected over many years showing that cloth masks do little to nothing to prevent infection from airborne viruses. However, in April, they decided to do an about-face and say masks are necessary.

We discussed the lack of consistent information related to Covid-19, how Dr. Fauci has set himself up to be the only one who knows what to do, how we are ignoring the data on young children and sending them back to school this fall. We also discussed the alarming trend of watching one liberal city after another move to defund or disband their police forces and then have the audacity to wonder why violent crime is spiking drastically.

I had the chance to talk again with the CEO of the Cartersville Medical Center, Chris Mosley, about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and how it is being handled by the hospital. We spent a good amount of time encouraging the community to not forego medical appointments or trips to the ER. There is no reason to fear being infected by going to the doctor or the hospital. With increased testing, the numbers of infections rises, but the hospitalizations remains very low and the mortality has been non-existent for almost a month. If listeners have any kind of medical issue, especially an emergency, the message is to immediately seek attention. Don't delay getting to the doctor or to the emergency room as you could end up succumbing to more serious health complications.

I had the chance to sit down with Dr. Tim Ryan and get his thoughts about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the data and how it is affecting our daily lives. Part of the discussion relates to the mortality rate of those 70 and under versus those over 70 and how that information isn't being made more clear. In addition, we discuss how some groups are being encouraged to meet in mass gatherings while others are not. Is the virus smart enough to know which gatherings to avoid and which to target? It's a fascinating discussion with a medical professional who is finding it both difficult and frustrating to have to work so hard to get to the data we need to paint a more complete picture.

In the first interview of the New Year, my guest, personal trainer, Susan Delmonico of SJD Health and Fitness, spent time talking about the one thing so many of us do at the start of a new year. Many of us make resolutions, but over 90% of us will not keep them throughout the rest of the year. Susan spends some time helping us find ways to keep those resolutions. After more witnesses took the stand in the open inquiry, we noticed the exact same pattern as with week one. Whatever the witness prepared in their opening or were asked by Chairman Schiff would give us one set of headlines to start the day, only to be reversed by the end of the day. Schiff knows a lie makes its way halfway around the world before the truth gets out of bed and he leveraged that to his advantage. Propaganda travels faster than fact and it's to that idea the democrats have pinned their hopes.

I believe democrat leadership has already drafted articles of impeachment. They have gone too far to turn back now and have no choice but to go forward, hoping on a miracle Hail Mary pass. However, if polls are any indicator of current sentiment, the open call for impeachment has begun to crumble and nervous democrats up for re-election may be losing their nerve in continuing the charade. As much as democrats want to believe, presume, wish, think, want, or desire for an impeachable crime to have been committed, in the absence of real evidence, what can they prove? Put simply, the only "presumption" we recognize in our justice system is the presumption of innocence. We do not act on the presumption of guilt.

We always bring in a practicing physician for our "Physicians 3rd Saturday" show to discuss topics in healthcare. In this episode, we start off discussing the difference between the terms "healthcare" and "health costs." Too often they are used interchangeably. They are no where close to the same.

What we are seeing is the more restrictions placed on the health insurance and healthcare industry, the more expensive it gets and the less helpful it becomes. Other areas of our economy provide better goods and services for less money because of unbridled capitalism. Once the government begins to place cost controls in place, the regulations begin to create bloat and pretty soon, it cannot survive under its own weight. What's worse, we have convinced generations of Americans that it should not cost anything to go to the doctor. Yet, most pay no attention to how much they are already having removed from their paychecks every month. On top of this, our physician, Dr. Tim Ryan of The Physicians Practice, spent time navigating the exchanges. It was a real eye-opener for most who tuned in to discover what happens to cost when the government takes charge.

After two days of open hearings into the possible impeachment of president Donald J. Trump, one commonality with all of the witnesses (thus far) is abundantly clear -- no one had any direct knowledge. We have witnesses testifying to how they felt, what they thought, what they believed and how they interpreted what they had been told by others. We had rumor, innuendo and hearsay as the pillars for Adam Schiff's opening volley to be used against the president.

I decided to break down those two days and I was left with one rather interesting question to ask of those who despise the current president. That question is, "Are we okay setting the precedence that we can now use hearsay, rumor and innuendo as a basis by which we invoke articles of impeachment?" Because, if we are, we will be going through this process again with the next election and the one after that and so on and so on. We are embarking down a dangerous path, a Machiavellian course, where future elected officials will be challenged solely because of how the opposition feels about them, regardless of the absence of high crimes, acts of treason or bribery.
