The Albert Chessa Network

Ava, a Nahua and Yucatàn Maya descendant, creator and intuitive healer who is on a personal journey of reconnecting with her ancestry, joins producer Albert to discuss the importance of supporting, preserving and celebrating our indigenous cultures, and living in deference to humanity’s first and best teacher, Mother Nature, which is at the core of Avatar’s ’artivism’ within the medium of filmmaking. She sheds light on the nuanced (and fascinating) grey area between ethnicities, communities and individuals, and the pair also dive into their shared kinship for various other subjects, including psychology, spiritualism and more.

An incredibly fun, joyous and excitement-filled time was had on our post-show episode with the legendary Ann of SpeakBeasty, as well as Tony — the formidable LastMarauder himself!

Plenty of analysis, speculation and predictions is had between the both of them, as well as producer, Albert, who promptly casts all composure to the wind as we celebrate this beyond-dream-come-true moment!

Hogwarts Legacy is going to change things forever — people who’ve never played games will play this. This video is one of the greatest things to be put on the internet. Everything went so far beyond even my wildest expectations that I’m simply unable to even, right now — life has begun again, it honestly feels that way 🤩

Cannot wait for the holiday! Maybe even September 1! It would be perfect, after all... 🚂

On Episode 2, producer Albert Chessa is joined by cohost Tony (HammerRaptor) for a wide-ranging, in-depth discussion on all things Jurassic —

Opinions, memories, and more than anything, diving headlong into manifesting 5 hypothetical-but-plausible projects:

1. Jurassic Park: Sorna (an open world RPG)

Inspired by Horizon Forbidden West, Red Dead 2 and The Witcher III

2. Jurassic Park: Infiltration (a survival horror FPS)

Inspired by Alien: Isolation, Bioshock, Resident Evil

3. Jurassic Park: Hunters (a tactical/adventure)

Raptor pack simulator, inspired by Ace Combat

4. Jurassic Park: Muldoon (an action/adventure)

Inspired by Uncharted, God Of War (2018) and The Last Of Us

5. Jurassic Age: Reborn (a limited live-action series)

Inspired by The Walking Dead

…and that’s not even talking about the next trilogy (speculative title: Jurassic Age)!

Indeed, the future *is* Jurassic — so pull up a Jurassic Park-branded chair, grab your JP mug and blanket, and nook up to your rainswept Sorna/Nublar/Cincos Muertes/Mainland windowsill, as you get cosy and join us as we meet this new Jurassic horizon together!

Albert takes it back to the Ep. 1 days to embark upon Valdir the Vagabond’s quest…

https://eldenring.com

https://albertchessa.com

My dear Tarnished, the Golden Age is almost upon us. From the silent shadows of the dark times — before Geoff Keighley's glorious SGF reveal — to this bountiful era of daily reveals, it has always been our fate…our golden path…to make it to this day.

On our 16th episode, 'A Shadow's Fate' — the final one before Elden Ring's release, and we all cross the foggy sea together — join the exceptionally talented Tarnished artist Gobli Prin and show producer Albert for ‘A Shadow’s Fate’, as the pair discuss all things life, art, music and more. Enjoy!

What if the two Miyazakis — Hidetaka and Hayao — combined into something, or rather someone, whose style is well on its way to surpassing both?

Well, in addition to being a truly unique and exceedingly talented illustrator unto himself, this is an accurate way to describe Tokyo-based artist, @gobli_prin.

If you haven’t already, ahead of this weekend’s conversation with this outstanding creator, I highly recommend following his Insta right now!

The pair discuss the differences between the two Miyazakis, how combining their sensibilities can prove surprisingly satisfying and unique, and much more. Stay tuned!

On this episode, Julia and Albert unveil a new era for The Dune Podcast 🌅

We, the whole worldwide Dune community, are in the desert of Arrakis together now — sheltered with and regrouping in Stilgar’s Sietch Tabr, alongside our heroes Chani (Zendaya), Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) — awaiting Part Two of our collective story to begin: meeting Irulan and Feyd, Jessica’s perilous Water of Life trial, and taking the fight to the Harkonnens, reclaiming Arrakis in the name of its Indigenous peoples 🧕

The next 3 episodes are also previewed, including, if schedules align, being joined by the mighty Greg Ruth himself (definitely check out his phenomenal work, both Dune and his other projects ✍️),

including episodes for Oscars predictions and reactions (Dune will pick up at least 5, but we’re manifesting 8, including Best Picture and Best Director for Denis ‘Filmer Of The Unfilmable’ Villeneuve 📽🇨🇦🤘)

In other words, it’s going to be a long, winding Maker-trail from here to Dune’s next chapter and beyond, including a photorealistic ‘Horizon Forbidden Arrakis’ style RPG title (looking at you, Guerilla! 🎮😉🤩) for us all,

And there’s no better time than now — with new tidbits emerging regarding all Dune projects each week (thank you legacy guests Dune Info and Dune News Net for your ongoing coverage!) to burrow into our collective passion (Emilio! 😉), curiosity and joy for this ever-deepening and expanding world, and seeing what the Spice reveals…

And of course, Hassan and Ralí (Secrets of Dune) are absolutely fated to one day take over the show for an episode (or more)…It, as they say, truly has begun.

This week, podcasting gets ODD…

Join kindred spirit Oddsters Kaio, Race and Albert as the trio dive headlong into the many meanings of ‘An Open Oddworld’ —

OWI's future being wide open as it is right now, with speculation mounting about an upscaling acquisition by the likes of Netflix, Apple or Google;

Building a more open-minded (and open-hearted) Oddworld community, starting with r/OddworldInc;

And my favourite of them all, a well-and-truly Open World Oddworld title —

Horizon Forbidden Odd,

Red Dead Oddemption,

The Odder Scrolls: Sligrim (ewww…but hey, the point stands! 😁) —

How would it work? Who would it star? What would it lead to, and what could it explore or reveal, world-building wise?

All these and many, many more questions will be answered, consulting The Art of SoulStorm (the new bedrock of OWI, whose refresh of all things Odd has given us the foundation upon which much more dynamic, emotionally resonant, and cinematically impactful tales can be told) all throughout 📕 So whaddya waiting for? Sit back, relax, press play and get your ODD on!

Prog rock meets Elden Ring?

As well as the extended MiyazakiVerse of Dark Souls and Bloodborne?

A match made in the heavens, to be sure...

Well, good Tarnished, you are in luck. On this episode, the mighty ANOR LONDO — a one-man Miyazaki-inspired prog band (ring a bell, Porcupine Tree?) — just so happens to be our special guest, the musical alter-ego of friend of the show, Rashed Salem.

The pair discuss art, life, the intrinsic connection between prog and fantasy, how Miyazaki’s works are a perfect match for prog and metal alike, and much more!

So go and grab yourself a fresh flagon of Limbgrave mead, pull up a chair to The Rountable Hold's fireplace, sit back, relax, get cozy and listen in, as the rainswept skies of the Lands Between roll on outside...

On the first podcast of 2022, Albert discusses the seventeen years it's been since Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, comments on the current state of the Oddworld community, gives a preview of episodes to come (Ep. 3 with Hett, Muske and Tech, and hopefully Ep. 4 with awesome long-standing Oddworld community member Aly) and brainstorms some ideas ('Oddworld: Pilgrimage of Odd') for the third Quintology title as an open-world, 'Red Dead Odd/Breath of the Odd/Horizon Forbidden Odd' style adventure, with day and night cycle, a living breathing ecosystem, multi-steed traversal, and much more. A potential upcoming acquisition by Netflix (given complete creative freedom and IP rights) is discussed as well, building towards the multimedia future that Sherry and Lorne have always envisioned for Oddworld (including an Arcane-quality Oddworld animated series), alongside the Quintology. Enjoy.
