  • Winter Warmers & Beer Syrup
In this post-Thanksgiving episode of the Ale Evangelist show, the Scotsman and Drew talk about what makes up a good winter warmer beer. What you can expect when trying different breweries’ offerings, and how you could even spice up a regular, malty beer to serve guests.
Also, the guys flesh out Drew’s beer syrup idea and talk about how useful a “sodastream for beer” would be in some industries. It’s a million dollar idea and Drew gives it away for free while drinking a Chai-Spiced Imperial Russian Stout from Stone.
All this and a long-range beer calendar only on the Ale Evangelist Show.

  • Strike Brewing
On this extra jumbo edition of the Ale Evangelist Show, the guys are introduced to Strike Brewing Co. out of San Jose. They try the flagship The Colossus of Clout, a fine Irish Red ale, AND the Winter Camp Olde Ale. The Scotsman and Drew were quite pleased with both of these beers, as well as some of the cool stories that the Scotsman was able to relate from Jenny Lewis, the CEO and co-founder of Strike Brewing.
Also in longer-than-normal episode, the guys introduce you to a new “everyman” guest, Whitey. Whitey is a bud-drinking lover of craft beer, who brings an element to the show that you will really enjoy. They all had a great time talking about a potentially sad subject, the sale of Ballast Point to Constellation Brands. Is this just another episode in the End of Craft Beer, or do we just have to accept that the only constant is change? Insights into the different reasons people drink the beer they do and a generous helping of fun make this one of the most enjoyable episodes of the Ale Evangelist Show yet! You don’t want to miss it!

Also, find out whether or not ABInBev is going to eat the world. All this and the latest beer calendar on the latest Ale Evangelist Show.

  • Firestone Walker Takeover
In this very special Ale Evangelist Show, The Scotsman and Drew are back at one of their favorite haunts, 10 EAST Kitchen and Taproom for a tap takeover.
Firestone Walker had a stellar showing with an amazing taplist. The Scotsman and Drew try a couple of very special barrel-aged beers, and in a special treat for the listeners they interview David Walker, the Lion himself. The co-founder of the 4-time mid-size brewery of the year award-winner from the GABF is a truly gracious and personable guy, and they had a great time with him for over a half hour!
David Walker is truly one of the luminaries in California Craft Beer, and the guys are truly appreciative of Derek Walker at 10 EAST for the opportunity to interview him. You don’t want to miss this show, listeners!

  • The Market
In this very special edition of the Ale Evangelist Show, the guys are pleased to have Patrick Chinn from The Market at La Comisaria. In this show, they chat with Patrick about how he got started with craft beer, and how he ended up in Linden offering up an insane selection of craft beer. They also ask him how he migrated to Modesto and asked him some of what it’s like to run a market like The Market. Patrick was a truly gracious guest, and if you’ve not made it in there to chat with Patrick and get some amazing craft beer, you need to do so. Patrick is a fantastic human being, and is providing some incredible craft beers for purchase at The Market. Cheers to Patrick for what he Scotsman and Drew hope is a semi-regular guest appearance on the Ale Evangelist Show. Patrick brought two great beers with him to try on the show. Even More Jesus from Evil Twin Brewing and the Brown Note from Against The Grain Brewing, which they talked about on the show last week make for a great evening on the Ale Evangelist Show.

  • AB Eats the World... Film at 11
These days, it seems like every other day is filled with the news of Annheuser Busch acquiring yet another entity. They are the Borg of Beer these days. No Craft Brewery or Massive Brewing Conglomerate is safe.  But is the sky really falling? Is the craft beer empire being taken over, brewery by brewery, never to rise again? Will BevMos carry nothing but fizzy, yellow swill. In this episode the Scotsman, flying solo, pontificates upon the nature of craft beer, and how we can never return to the “dark ages of beer.” Today, in the information age, fine craft beer is at your fingertips, and you’ll never have to settle for less again. But has ABInBev gotten too big for its britches? The Scotsman also covers a new story about the Justice Department investigating AB’s business practices. All that and the Scotsman tries some new Gose beers from Anderson Valley Brewing on the Ale Evangelist Show!
