Episode Four of The All-Canadian Podcast, powered by the All-Canadian Sports Network, is here for your listening pleasure! Host Tyler Bennett is joined by Acadia Axewomen guard Haley McDonald, a woman who needs no introduction with her resume on and off the court.
Off the top, Bennett answers this week's question in another instalment of the All-Canadian Mailbag. This week's question focuses on balance, and how Bennett finds time to balance work life, personal life, and the All-Canadian Sports Network.
From there, McDonald joins the show to discuss a bevy of topics from the last couple of years. McDonald talks about her professional experience playing in Germany and what life was like living in a different country during a pandemic. She also shares some similarities and differences between playing basketball in Canada versus Germany, and details what professional leagues look like in Europe.
McDonald then goes onto detail why now was the right time to return to Acadia. She indicates one statistic, in particular, that she's been chasing since her first day at Acadia, and that was a big reason for her return. She also speaks on the newly-formed Maritime Women's Basketball Association and its impact on the basketball community, not only on the East Coast but across Canada.
To close, McDonald talks about her latest endeavour - Lights Out Elite Training. She talks about where the idea came from, her vision for the company, and what lies ahead over the summer months.
