 We talked a bit about Bernie trying to pass a bill to get Americans a 50% stake in different AI companies in a sovereign wealth fund. Locally, we talk about the proposition of raising the minimum wage for Oklahomans; and the vote on it will be held June 16th.
Alexis went off about tablet learning-particularly tablets reading to school kids, instead of being taught to read. Then proceeded into going off about Governor Stitt trying to replace pride month with Life month. We get into homophobia, and Ashlyn talks about the job of a parent is to listen when their child tells them who they are and nurture them.

Listen up y'all, your dose of The All Nighter Podcast is finally here! 
We cover so many bases in this one. We talk about the Elon Musk v. Open AI court case, and the how strange it is to feel split on it. Ash has some troubles that keep her from staying long, but she will be back next episode! When it's down to long-time buddies, we inevitably get into some true crime stories that certainly warrant the trigger warning they're given at about 11 minutes in. 
Alexis and Ron both open up about the different reasons it would be a struggle to have a child in this economy, and the physical cost it would have for Ron. Without these different factors, it would otherwise sound like a nice idea. Despite being an artist, Ron talks about how real fame actually sounds awful. Eventually they discuss the series Euphoria, and the different discomforts it brought Ron in watching. We talk about the practical effects they use, but limit the discussion to the first episode since that's only as far as Alexis has gotten. All that and so much more!

Welcome to the most lax episode yet of The All Nighter Podcast! Sorry for the long break, we hope to get better about communicating why and when things fall through, and when we hope to return. You can see we forgot our caffeine, but go ahead and grab your's because we picked up steam as we went and this turned into an extra long episode. We talk about lost will, and trying to find it again. Ashlyn's been struggling more physically with her blood pressure during the pregnancy, and since recording this episode has been dealing with even more pain and perhaps a pulled muscle. We've each been dealing with more serious struggles lately, and we really appreciate your patience. We ponder how emotional we'll be with the wedding, and Ron talks about lessening anxiety over the hooplah of it all. Continued discussions on the Iran war, and the chaotic messaging from the administration. Once we delve into the military draft topic that is supposedly set for December, we talk about how it would likely lessen the efficacy of our military to have unwilling participants rather than strengthen it. We talk insider trading suspicions, Kristi Noem's husband, the Taylor Frankie Paul situation and so much more.  Lock in y'all, we start out light but get pretty heavy with this one. If you notice a difference in audio quality on this ep, it's because Alexis's gain was turned up too high. In the next episode, we should have it fixed. :) Ash and Ron talk about their road trip to Austin, grateful to have spent quality time with family. During their stay, a mass shooting in Austin occurred. They discuss the tragedy, how they reacted, and how awful it is to become desensitized. Once we get into the Iran war, Ron brings up a powerful 2011 speech by Tony Benn that mirrors her feelings now. She feels DT is far too frivolous and reckless with his rhetoric and threats. She brings up Ben Shapiro's enthusiasm and giddiness over the operation names. She calls out the hypocrisy directly in saying, "We should not be so callous as to be excited about people getting bombed. What kind of Christian can you claim to be if you're stoked about that?" Going further, talking about Hagseth's words at a conference about "no more politically correct wars" as if considerations for civilians or diplomacy are out of the question for this administration. Further on, we say that no matter what a mom decides for her birth process, medicated or unmedicated, that it is valid and there should be no judgment, especially from other moms. Past that, we get into our old sibling dynamics and even show a clip of those younger selves. We delve into some of the horrific things we've read in the Epstein files, sourced from the DOJ's website itself; if you have the stomach for it, you can query (search) and read for yourself. Trigger Warning for gruesome details starts at 35:34, ends at 47:41. We implore people who want to run for congress, and senate to run on bringing accountability to the people committing these attrocities. Ron maintains that IF there is an us against them, it is a class war of the 1% vs the 99%. We discuss Tennessee's shocking changes in classifying abortion as a homicide- which will make that "crime" eligible for the death penalty. In that discussion we specify how often women's miscarriages will technically be classified as an abortion when the passed fetus needs to be taken out of the mother's body.
