The Alleged Wrestling Podcast

Quick thoughts on WrestleMania 38, Cody “betrayaing” the AEW hardcore people by joining WWE, Tony Khan vs Bots, Nash Carter controversy, Sunny and her BS and so much more.

We close the show as we always do by picking our Best/Worst Match, Best/Worst Segment, Wrestler of the week and Show of the week.

Nothing but some good old fashion predictions. All WrestleMania, all night. We go through every match on the card and pick our winners, the match to steal the whole weekend, what we think Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to do, the Cody return, and what the hell is Pat McAfee gonna pull off?

I don't know what the lads talked about this week but they went way over time and they said it was because they were by the pool, brother. They did in fact discuss Triple H confirming his retirement, Cody’s expected debut, all of this week's TV and who knows what else?! Genuinely, I have no idea. I asked them to keep this short and they went two hours, so this is no clickbait. Was there a new 24/7 Champion now that “BUTCH” is official? I don’t know, I guess I’ll have to listen and find out just like all you people.

We lost Scott Hall this week and open the show discussing his legacy and the butterfly effect of wrestling had he not jumped to WCW when he did, it’s pretty wild to think about.

So much “gatekeeping” hurts delicate feelings on Twitter. AEW Revolution fallout, build to WrestleMania, much video game chat.

Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee said things. Tony Khan buys Ring of Honor but is it a good investment? AEW chatter including the mixed but mostly positive response to the CM Punk/MJF segment and of course AEW Revolution predictions.

Buddy Matthews debuted in AEW and it was the biggest news story of the week.

Bit of a slow news week, ey? Cody Rhodes leaves AEW, Steve Austin making a return at Wrestlemania and literally so much other news it will make your head spin. We also chat about WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 and where we see things playing out as we head to WrestleMania.

It was a shorter show this week due to time constraints so we mostly focused on AEW coverage for the duration of the show, with some light sprinklings of WWE thrown in there for good measure. Maybe they are not the sprinklings VEER is trying to dish out, but you can’t win them all.

We cover the debut of Keith Lee and Jay White on this week’s AEW Dynamite, where we see the Hangman Page title reign going from here, the MJF/Wardlow stuff, and all of the rest.

Lots of news this week, McMahon on McMahon sacking, a wrestler fired from two companies in 24 hours, WWE financials break records despite a product that is failing to impress. What the hell was that Royal Rumble match??

Fitz declares CM Punk vs MJF a classic as we cover Dynamite. The rest is there too, all of it.
