So I watched portions of the Terrence Howard/Eric Weinstein Joe Rogan podcast. I've also watched Sabine hofsteter's response. I've watched a bunch of responses but the thing that bothered me the most was that no one called Neil Dumarse Tyson on his horrible misunderstanding of the Dunning Kruger. Maybe he's just trolling us and he was playing dumb: because he gave the most perfect example of what Dunning Kruger is really meant to teach us. That some of the dumbest people in society are the most educated. That truly our only way forward is to have a sense of doubt, especially in our own BS....

As title suggests, AI and the potential of (current)AI powered apps are all hype and bullcrap... Yet the potential is hidden in plain sight.

Listen to me: use these greedy snake oil sellers as a template to actually help, heal, teach and learn...

Is social media to blame for our modern malaise, our loss of meaning, our attachment to identity?

What is missing in religion, this is the same thing missing in us, and why religion is a universal truth of civilization or humanity itself.

I discuss Richard Schwartz's sum greater than the parts.. in his intro he claims internal family systems is a map to enlightenment? That hubris was shocking to read. I would agree if he had said IFS was a path to self actualization... But enlightenment before learning about ourselves or how to be still?

Learning to be still, to meditate, to contemplate, to pray: takes moments to learn but a lifetime to 'master'.

I share my favorite quote from Carl Jung's 'modern man In search of a soul' which would be the book that I'd recommend people start with cuz it's so apropos to our current malaise and in it I'm able to expand upon my other favorite Jung quote his idea that by adopting a religious view of life that we can heal so much of our collective ennui.
