ome of the words we hear as kids cut deeper than anything else. For me, it was: “You are to be seen and not heard.” That one phrase silenced me for years. My voice only mattered when it entertained someone else.
And then came the rules: “This is my house, my rules. If you don’t like it, you can leave.” By 17, I did. But those words left scars. They taught me that love and belonging were conditional, that my dreams were “stupid,” and that expressing myself was “disrespectful.”
Even tattoos—something so sacred to me now—were called shameful. I was told I was ruining my body, disrespecting my family. But here’s the truth: that’s one of the reasons why I’m literally covered in tattoos today. Every piece is an expression of my spirituality, my healing, my growth. And just like me, some of them have been reworked and transformed—because I’ve evolved.
Healing isn’t about pretending those words never existed. It’s about facing them, honoring the inner child who heard them, and rewriting the story in a way that empowers you instead of cages you.
✨ Today’s reflection: What words cut you the deepest in childhood? And how are you choosing to rewrite them now?
Remember, you don’t have to walk this healing path alone. You can work with me through any of my 3 transformational programs, each designed to help you shed old patterns, reconnect with your truth, and finally step into the life that’s waiting for you.
