This is the calling of every believer, but especially of fathers.

A godly father teaches his children the truth, models the truth before them, and encourages them to remain faithful to Christ throughout their lives.

Sermon Main Idea: Paul offers the following response in our passage:

"God gives spiritual gifts to build up His body and display His glory."

Throughout this chapter, Paul reminds the Corinthians—and us—that spiritual gifts are not about personal greatness but about Christ's greatness.

As we look at this passage, we will discover two important truths:

Sermon Main Idea: “We come together to live out the truth of the gospel with one another.”

In 1 Corinthians 11:17–34, Paul confronts the believers about their behavior during the Lord’s Supper. Instead of reflecting the gospel, their gatherings were contradicting it.

II. DON’T PARTICIPATE IN DEMONIC ACTIVITIES (vv.14-22). 

III. DON’T PURSUE YOUR OWN INTEREST (vv.23-11:1).

MAIN IDEA: “Our responsibility to the gospel must take priority over personal gain.”

Or simply:

In other words, 

“The gospel isn’t a tool for personal gain; it’s a gift we pass on.”

We don’t serve the Lord for what we can get, but to share the Good News we have received.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 8.

MAIN IDEA: “Use your freedom in Christ with care, so that it builds others up rather than causes them to stumble.”

In other words,

“We are free in Christ—but love must guide our freedom for the sake of others.”

Freedom in Christ is never without responsibility—it must be exercised with care.
