Chris Caputo, City Commissioner

Chris Caputo was elected to the Wilton Manors City Commission in November 2020 for a four-year term. Chris is a proud, long- time resident of the Wilton Manors area, currently residing in a Central Area home with his two dogs, Spartan and Fusilli. Chris was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Fort Myers, FL. Chris’ long history of community involvement extends well beyond SMART Ride and the Pride Center. Chris has personally raised over $110,000 for local and regional charities, including Make-a-Wish South Florida, Poverello, Florida AIDS Walk, Broward House, and more. Chris, along with the rest of his team at Development Partners, consistently volunteer their technical skills to help community non-profits and agencies more efficiently reach and serve their constituents.

Jessica Watkins is a standup comedian, actor, filmmaker, and adventure enthusiast. Jessica grew up in East Nashville, TN. At 18 Watkins moved to Los Angeles to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she found her love of making people laugh. Following graduation Jessica began performing sketch, improv, and after only a few times on stage and six years in California, Watkins moved to New York City to pursue standup comedy.

After five years honing her craft in NYC, in an attempt to jump start her career, Watkins quit her day job waiting tables to walk across The US performing standup comedy. In 2014 Jessica spent 8 months walking solo from Delaware to California, performing standup comedy, living off the kindness of strangers, and filming the trek for her first comedy special, Jessica Watkins: SPECIALish. Mixed with footage from the road and stand up upon her return, Jessica shot, wrote, directed, and produced the award winning feature length docu-comedy.

Jessica Watkins: SPECIALish was released through Random Media and 1091 Pictures May 11th, 2021, is named “exceptional” by The New York Times, “11th best comedy special of 2021” by Paste Magazine, and is available NOW on all streaming and On Demand platforms.

Unclear if the “jump start” worked, Jessica lives in Astoria, Queens and can be found performing standup regularly in New York City, and on adventures around the globe.

Michael Brian Dunn is a NYC based Actor where he lives with his husband Kurt. Michael’s career has spanned 4 decades and includes Broadway, Off Broadway, National and International tours, countless regional theater jobs across the country as well as Film and Television.

Some notable credits include The Film Julie & Julia starring Meryl Streep. This season's Hallmark Feature, A Holiday Spectacular with the NYC Rockettes. The National tour and Toronto Companies of COME FROM AWAY. On Broadway in CATS, Doctor Zhivago, THE LIFE, Guys & Dolls, Big River, Baby and more. He has traveled with theater productions to Japan, Singapore, Italy, and all across the United States. He is presently spending time in Utica NY, and NYC where he enjoys coaching and teaching the incredible young students of BKA with husband Kurt.

Emoji Nightmare (Justin Marsh) has been performing across Vermont and the region since 2015 and is one of the state’s leading drag entertainers. She has hosted, performed in, and/or produced several major events over the past decade, including New Queers Eve, Pride Ball, First Friday, Glitter & Duct Tape, The Vermont Pride Festival, Paint: A Drag Cabaret, Queen City Drag Cabaret, Queer Pop-Up Dance Party, and SASS. She is a frequent guest on Amber Live! and a multi-year nominee for Seven Days’ annual Daysies Awards for Best Drag Performer in Vermont.

Bernies Mittens Maker, Jen Ellis!

Jen Ellis, the creator of Bernie's Mittens is back with her new book about her very interesting life.

Jen Ellis is a Vermont teacher, mother, and crafter. Originally from Maine, Ellis attended the University of Vermont. She started her teaching career with Teach For America in rural North Carolina before returning to Vermont to teach elementary school. She used her flash of fame to raise money for non-profits in her community. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her partner Liz and daughter Helen. She enjoys long walks, finding new swimming holes in the Green Mountain State, and writing songs. Ellis is currently pursuing a masters in counseling from the University of Vermont.

Robusta Capp is a live singing drag performer and sometime male actress based in New York City. Working with nightlife folks such as Will Clark and former Empress of the Imperial Court of New York, Witti Repartee, honed her craft at The Ritz and Uncle Charlies in New York. She has also taken her incredibly well received two "girl" act, Dirty Little Ditties, with sister in song, Miss Jane Aquilina, across the United States. Robusta and her husband, P. William Pinto, also co-own their own theatre production company, Bizarre Noir, where they've put on over 30 shows in New York and Massachusetts over the past 16 years including Little Shop of Horrors, The Bad Seed, Die, Mommie, Die, and countless cabaret style shows, of which our latest is called Oh Wh*rey Night to premiere at the legendary Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street.
