The American Junglist

I met this weeks guest at one of the best parties I have ever been to. It was over a few days and his set was one of the standouts for me personally. I got to know Robbie a little bit as the weekend went on and we hit it off right away. His style is so unique and just different. In a close knit culture where it can be hard to stand out with a unique sound, he does it pretty easily. I tell him all the time, it's like Samurai Breaks and Sam Binga had a baby when he plays. He's one hell of a vibe! Representing Bad Ninjitsu Entertainment and Detroit MI, please welcome Bad Ninja. Links below

I first became aware of this weeks guest because of Rolled Up Records. Shout out to Tim & Aaron! He had a track on one of their V/A EP's and I wanted to  hear more so I checked Soundcloud. I was so into the style of DNB he was making that I messaged him.....I said something like "man if I ever get involved with a label, I'd really like to sign some of your music" That's was probably three years ago now? It turns out I did get involved with a label and as soon as I did, he was the first artist I signed. Berto is the best! I love his attitude and humility. He's got an awesome family, and now three years later, he's making some world class DNB. We are really lucky to have him on the show. Representing the Tampa Bay, please welcome HushBass. Links below

I feel so old when I talk about my childhood now. I guess its because i am haha. In the early 90's, Every corner shop in the city and every cool clothing store sold mixtapes by local DJ's. They all had a certain feel to them. Lots of crazy drops and tons of MC's. I loved those tapes! Shout to DJ Cash Money, Kid Capri, Dj Premier and so many more. This weeks guest wanted to re-create that vibe a little and put his Digital Konfusion stank on it. So he invited some of the best MC's in our culture to join him. Please welcome one of my favorite ravers and one of my favorite DJ's! The one and only DJ ODI....... & friends.......please also welcome Sofi Mari, Josiah Scribes, T.R.A.C., Mc Astro, MC Foxy, MC trigga and more. lets gooooooooo🔥🔥🔥 Links below.

I was on my way to a rave when a friend (Terran) messaged me and said "hey!, this person is gonna be at the same thing, you should meet them."  It was a weekend at one of the best raves I have been to in my life!!! If you get the chance to go to one of Recipe and U4ik's mansion raves, GO. Anyway, I met this weeks guest there. She is  in fact a vibe. We got to  mix a few times together throughout that weekend. She shreds. Representing Detroit Michigan, Please welcome Magick Traxx. Links below

These days, it can be hard to keep up with new and upcoming artists in our music. A lot of people help me by recommending their friends and artists they're into. This weeks guest is one of those recommendations. After a listen, I liked him too. He is a California based producer and DJ with a unique "South Asian" vibe that I wish there were more of. His most recent release, the Shakti EP is a perfect example of the sound you can expect to hear. Representing the San Fancisco Bay Area, please welcome Dust Breaks. Links below and tracklist below.

Our guest this week has quickly become an icon in our American community and with good reason. I first became aware of Conductor maybe two years ago? I didn't really know much about her or her family but kept seeing that name on the socials. It wasn't until I read an article on www.bestdrumandbass.com that I felt compelled to reach out and meet Mary and Violet. It was emotional....lol. Now, we talk pretty regularly and I just love those guys. Im pretty sure everyone does. In a sea of interesting people in our American DNB culture, this magical human still stands out. She is marketing director for Ohm Resistance, A&R for Hi-Fi Jungle, talent scout and A&R for Time Slip Recordings, repping 1200 hustle, Bass Attack, N.W.O, and she got one of the most FIRE🔥 meme games on the internet. All the way from Lexington Kentucky, please welcome Conductor. As much as I try to stay up on every DJ in every city, I just can't. My friend Brian at Everyday Junglist told me about this weeks guest last year sometime and I have been a fan since. I always look for the left of center, ruffneck, dark and funky warehouse vibes. As gloomy as that sounds, thats the shit I came up on and I just love it.  Representing Dark Room Atlanta and the Atlanta DJ Collective, please welcome Ash. Booking info below.

This weeks guest put together a deep and funky mix I have been playing for a few days now. He's a PREMIUM selector and we know you guys will love this one. Inspired by legendary Midwest junglists like DJ 3D, Phantom 45, and Danny the Wildchild, Shawn Blond has been on the pulse of drum & bass for as long as he can remember. His mixes reflect a deep appreciation for the full spectrum of DnB - from deep rollers to jump-up to liquid - seamlessly blending energy, emotion, and grit. Representing Chicago Illinois, please welcome back Shawn Blond. Links and tracklist below
