On this episode of Michigan Wild, Nate interviews Sam Olexsak, the Amsteel Guy, about his journey into mobile hunting and the development of Amsteel products. They discuss the benefits of using Amsteel, the importance of having a consistent system, and the learning curve of using Amsteel aiders. Sam provides advice for beginners and emphasizes the need for practice and confidence in using the gear. Sam also discusses the importance of trust and safety in hunting gear, emphasizing that he only sells gear that he personally trusts and uses. The guys do share tips for mobile hunting, such as using lightweight gear and rope-style attachments, what being mobile means to them, and how sometimes a 30 yard move makes all the difference. Sam also highlights three of his most popular products: the USA stick, the pocket pull-up rope, and the Stolek ground seat.  Overall, the conversation highlights the passion and the importance of finding the right gear and techniques for a successful hunt.
