Jesus commands us to judge with right judgment, rather than by appearances.,

The one who endeavors to do God’s will discerns teaching that is and is not from God, but the one who wishes to do his own will, judges poorly.

As Jesus trusts the wisdom of the Father's will, confidently and graciously rejecting the bad counsel of His unbelieving biological brothers, you and I can learn to do the same.

Jesus draws out the great contrast between the life of the believer and the life of the one who would betray Him so that you and others may be certain that you have eternal life.

 

In John 6:59-71, the false disciple's traitorous heart is revealed in his unwillingness to believe Jesus. His doubt turns to offense, his offense to grumbling, grumbling to apostasy, apostasy leads to betrayal, and betrayal to suicide.

From this, we must learn that a personal spiritual assessment is critical and that we must believe fervently in Jesus for eternal life, and help others do the same.

Jesus exposes the contrast between those who feed on Him and those who do not, so that you will find your sustenance in Him and enjoy eternal life with Him.

Jesus exposes the false conversion of those who grumble against Him so that all who will actually trust in Him will have eternal life.

While Jesus provides eternal satisfaction, some will not believe in Him, yet all who do will be known by the satisfaction He provides.

Be faithful in little, so that you may be equipped to make an eternal impact with the resources God has placed at our disposal.

While the mass craves earthly bread (life), the Master offers them eternal bread (life). Listen to how Jesus rebukes the crowd in their craving for momentary earthly fulfillment, calling them to enduring, eternal contentment, so that you may find forever satisfaction in the Bread of Life.
