Tonight -- the House Ways & Means committee hearing where IRS former chief Shulman was grilled, but not before the woman who'll be overseeing YOUR ObamaCare pleaded the 5th.  Will the scandals brewing in DC hurt the President's Capitol Hill footing on both issues, or has his limited clout on Capitol Hill been eroded beyond repair?

 Also -- IMMIGRATION REFORM -approved by the Senate Judiciary cmte. Will it pass in the Senate?   The Keystone pipeline bill making its way thru House to Senate before Memorial Day. Will the Senate pass permitting legislation, despite POTUS & SecState objections? Senator Reid threatens to launch "nuclear option". What is it?  And what does that mean for future  free speech issues in the Senate? A bullying tactic?

 Haven't we seen some of this already from the IRS?

With today's House Judiciary Committee Hearing in which committee members  grilled AG Eric Holder all afternoon about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, and the AP telephone wiretapping, a lot of chatter is buzzing about impeachment.

But what does that mean? And what all is involved.  Last night we talked about why any impeachment proceedings should wait until after the 2014 election. More on that tonight.

And how the these scandals affect legislative intiatives on the Hill in the next several months? Will it be a Long Hot Summer, as Drudge reported on his website? The fact that Obama is becoming radio-active will certainly change how Congress will puzzle thru the major legislative items needed to fund the government, increase the debt ceiling and other "must pass" pieces of legislation.

So many scandals -- is it all coming to a head?

Will the House pass Rep. Frank Wolf’s H. Res. 36 and create a select committee to investigate the terrorist attack on Benghazi that took four American lives?

Our "leader" is a man chosen by rhetoric, charisma and symbolism to be President of the United States, who is also vain, headstrong and pursuing his own vision, heedless of the consequences for the people whose lives are in his hand.

Hearings begin tomorrow on what happened in Benghazi.  The key question on our mind is "WHY?"  Why were our military told to stand down? It seems pretty clear that:

-- Hillary Clinton lied under oath to Congress.

-- Barack Obama went to sleep knowing that a U.S. Ambassador and other Americans were under terrorist attack.

-- Barack Obama awoke refreshed the next day to begin fundraising.

-- The entire Executive Branch lied repeatedly to the American people to save Obama's chances for reelection.
