Florida's Republican Conservative Candidate for US Senate joins us to discuss his views on why he's running, what he hopes to accomplish.  Dave Weldon, a physician who served three terms in the US Congress beginning in 1994 before leaving to resume private practice, says he's fed up with the Senate's stonewalling and wants to get back to Washington do something about it.  Weldon is vying for the seat currently held by Democrat and Obama-suporter Bill Nelson, but must first face establishment Republican Connie Mack in Florida's primary on August 14th.

They will have to face: --expiration of the Bush Tax cutsBeen in place since 2001 so our economy and business community have built them into their budgets and US families into our tax returns --across-the-board forced cuts in Defense and other agencies as a result of the failure of the Super committee to make the cuts needed as a part of the debt limit deal from last summer --Possible increase in the national debt. President Obama has said he may have to come back to Congress and ask for an increase in the national debt if Sec. of Treasury Tim Giethner says that our government has reached the debt limit amount Speaker Boehner has said that he will not ask the House to increase the debt without dollar for dollar cuts. Will Congress actually vote to act on these expiring and looming cuts or will they "kick the can" down the road on these.
