On Episode 101 of the Anecdote, Brett and Logan bring a Saskatchewan football episode only a few weeks out from the start of the CFL Season. 

We start off without Maddog this week by introducing the fellas and recapping our couple week break. Brett  and Logan give their eulogies for the Oilers and Leafs seasons respectively, and talk a little Stanley Cup playoffs to lead off the show.

Pay it Forward

On Episode 100 of The Anecdote we welcome on Hockey Hall of Famer, 7-time Stanley Cup Champion and Val Marie Saskatchewan native Bryan Trottier. 

Prior to the interview, the boys reflect on the journey to episode 100. We talk the peaks and valleys along the way, our favorite memories and how far we have come. After listing player numbers throughout the journey, we go through each number and name a hockey player who comes to mind for each. 

Each host gives a Pay it Forward that sticks out to us over the first 99 episodes, and we move to the interview.

After bringing Bryan on, we start off where it all began for him growing up in Val Marie and playing junior hockey for the Swift Current Broncos. We discuss his time in New York with the Islanders, how important Saskatchewan and western Canadian values are to him, his time in Pittsburgh and behind the bench in Colorado, as well as family and music.

Pay it Forward

On Episode 99 of The Anecdote presented by Upstream Data, we bring on NFLPA and CFLPA certified player agent Chris Lambiris from Dulcedo Management. 

Before the interview, we preview the upcoming NFL Draft which starts on Thursday night. We talk about the most important swing picks, the top prospects at each position and what surprises to look for on draft night. 

Wes presents a Pay it Forward, and we welcome on Chris. Chris is an NFLPA & CFLPA certified player agent with over 20 years of experience as a player, coach, scout, and sports management advisor. Chris graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Master of Business Administration and spent his undergrad studying at the University of Saskatchewan where he played defensive back for the Huskies. Chris is also a certified financial planner providing financial literacy and planning to professional athletes, investing and advising.

On Episode 95 of The Anecdote presented by Upstream Data we welcome on John Hodge, reporter for 3DownNation. 

Prior to the interview, we introduce the fellas, quickly touch on the Brier playoffs over the weekend and recap some big news in the CFL, as the Roughriders welcome aboard CFL All Star receiver Derel Walker.  The signing was announced just hours following our interview with John.
