Welcome back to "All Things God." This is our 13th episode, and today we're going to be talking about Life & Death of your words. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Words are more than just sounds—they carry weight, influence, and authority.

Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos went missing in 2004 and 2003, respectively, under similar circumstances in Naples, Florida, U.S. Both men were last seen being arrested by Steve Calkins, then a deputy in the Collier County Sheriff's Department, for driving without a license.

Deputy Calkins was fired after his story changed when questioned. He denied wrongdoing. He's the only person of interest in the cases, but law enforcement never found evidence against him.

Laresha was last seen in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, on November 19, 1999. She dropped her two-year-old son off at her sister's residence in the 900 block of Gayle Street for the night. She said that she planned to drive her car to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the following morning for a mechanical repair estimate.

Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight," is a key passage on trust and guidance in God's will. It emphasizes that faith in God should guide all actions, not personal understanding, and that acknowledging God in daily life will lead to a clear path.

Proverbs 4:23 urges us: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." This verse highlights the paramount importance of protecting our inner selves, as our thoughts, emotions, and desires ultimately shape our actions and the trajectory of our lives.

Stay Focused: Don't Let the Enemy Distract You from God's Purpose

In our walk with Christ, distractions will come—temptations, doubts, and setbacks. The enemy’s greatest tactic is to shift our focus away from God’s calling and into confusion, fear, or complacency. But we are called to stand firm, keep our eyes on Jesus, and press forward in faith.
