Back in its day, the light bulb must have seemed downright miraculous to humans. Nearly instantaneous light achieved with the flip of a switch that didn't involve lighting anything on fire! We got a bit stuck there, though. Unlike Animals, we're still in the place of separation from others where communication is concerned. It's "if you say this, I'll respond with that" flipping a switch mode. Cause and effect vs. unity. All Animals - and ourselves if we allow it - have an innate need of the naturally occurring DC (direct current) that's produced by our shared planet, Earth. This energy is perfectly matched to our bodies' bioelectric circuitry such that it replenishes and protects by enhancing the systems that support the body. (And Animals such as dogs instinctively seek out resonance with other magnetic sources every time they defecate.) We wear shoes and live in structures above the ground that prohibit our connection. Animals don't have that issue, normally, unless we create it for them. By not allowing them to connect with the planet as they are able to and safely.  Do yourself and your body a favor and connect whenever possible!

Both involve interacting with humans in a co-created and shared energy environment. Both are usually perceived by humans as being assigned work for only the Animal. In that humans set the boundaries and have expectations about how the Animal will or won't respond appropriately. What humans miss is that in both instances a step forward into recognition of a relationship is necessary. So that humans can appreciate the mastery of the Animal(s) in the situation and perhaps gain a perspective that no being is perfect. Least of all a human! And that over the course of time continual training and socialization will be the norm and not the exception.

The brutal honesty of Animals, refreshing though it can be at times, is something most humans turn away from. Because it's of shadow and we're not great with shadow. At all! Stepping into right relationship with all Animals - especially your companion Animals - is a place of heart-centered humility that we're not always right. Neither are they - they just admit it more easily than we do. The key is being open to forming a strong partnership where each is honored, treasured and supported. You know, the way it should be.

The elements aren't "the weather" yet our renaming of them tells you everything you need to know about how humans attempt to control their environment. Rather than simply dance with it as every other species does. As the elements are of the planet they also have their light and shadow aspects. The shadow of which is what we complain about. Imagine being in a place to connect with Fire to understand its dynamic cleansing properties and how its path of seeming destruction can be viewed differently.

Avatar in this context meaning a deity having incarnated into animal or human experience. Which we all are, as are other Earthlings whether we like it (or them) or not! For just a moment and before I forgot I was in human experience and Chickadee was in bird experience, we just were. United with each other as co-avatars on this amazing planet, this almost weightless being showed me what is possible if we allow paradigms to shift away from belief systems and into a different place. One made of unity between beings and out of earthly experience. Because in addition to having visual acuity far beyond what any being in human experience has, Bird (as well as all other Animals) show us the way forward. Towards unity and with only one platform of divinity as co-avatars - together.

A footnote: To clarify my statement of religion causing wars, my opinion is that the politicization of religion is the fuel added to the already burning fire of "other" within the human species.

While a shaman would say there is both ordinary and non-ordinary reality, when coupled and embraced together it's all ordinary. And there isn't any para(non) normal - it's merely a perception of a system of belief about into which box to put a particular frequency of energy. The human experience loves to play with aspects of shadow to a certain extent because we also reject it as part of our daily lives. So it tends to build up and when a TV show about ghosts, hauntings and perhaps curses comes on, we're all in! The thing is, when we box up energy we also render ourselves to a certain extent powerless to interact safely and knowledgeably with the same energy. No matter which facet of planetary design - light or dark - it's presenting in our experience. The more we can move into the dimensions that slide together as our ancestors did and without definitions or false constraints, the better equipped we are to be one with and co-master of Energy.

From the human-centric view of the world perhaps it's not unusual that we would only be able to see Animals in one dimension. And without the layers of complexity that accompany them in reality. So that when they are in physical pain we perceive them to somehow be stoic and uncomplaining about the pain. Or perhaps, we wonder, not feeling the pain at all. The truth is much deeper and more masterful than through simple outward observation such as ethology. They view their physical forms, aka bodies, in a much different way than we do. And without the emotional pain victimization humans perceive accompanies physical pain. Which, it turns out, is inextricably linked with emotion from our viewpoint. To Animals, all sensation is data that informs them about where they are in time and space. This data affords them the opportunity of choosing how to respond vs just reacting. Just imagine such a place of being!

Humans as a species on this planet do not play well with others. Either those we perceive to be "other" within our own species or any other species on the planet. We perceive that as human and presumably the only ones who matter on the planet it's our birthright to protect ourselves and those of our own species. At all and any cost to other Earthlings with whom we share this planet. And with whom we're actually charged with stewardship of and of maintaining balance with in regards to the Earth's resources. We're so egocentric in our status of both predator and prey we neglect to honor the very vulnerability that actually could be our saving grace. It is only by dropping the mask of speciesism towards other species that ours will begin to fulfill its shining task of right relationship with others.

Just like the joke involving humans who seem at opposite ends of the spectrum, so too, are our interpretations of fields of energy. At the very least in this example all the way from 1939 to 2001.The bottom line is that the Energy all of science attempts to define and categorize as perhaps belonging only to that field of study or theory, is the same Energy everywhere. It might act differently in some situations which leads us to believe it's separate from the whole. It's not - ever. Which Animals - including both predator and prey - will tell you. And try though we might as humans to finally claim as ours and box up Energy, it's really only important that we interact with it and allow ourselves to be taught through it how to be on this planet. Its constantly shifting flow shows us that stillness and being our own personal center of energy is best, especially right now. Of this we are entirely capable!
