Hey peeps! In this episode I had the pleasure of chatting with Mark Groves.
Mark is a human connection specialist, emotional translator, writer, speaker and a coach.
Mark talks about the wonderful world of human connection and emotional translating that he plays in.
He is intrigued in learning about how people show up in the world, especially in romantic relationships and how humans use areas of their lives where they thrive as avoidance for where they don’t thrive.
He dives into topics around staying true to yourself, red flags, boundaries and human connection.
We talk about having tough conversations and he explains how we are not responsible for other people’s feelings, but we are responsible for how we deliver our truth.
He unpacks how not sharing your truth with someone because you are scared of hurting their feelings, or being rejected, is actually rejecting yourself.
He defines what human connection really is and what can stop us and what can help us thrive when it comes to relationships, whether it be your brother, mother, or partner.
He talks about what red flags are, where they come from and how we see them at that start, but choose to ignore them.
He explains how we form bad boundaries and how they were learnt from our family systems and how to start setting healthy boundaries.
He talks about how we should date people that we don’t share chemistry with, to relearn what chemistry actually means, as often times what we think chemistry is is actually us being attracted to chaos and to someone toxic.
