Ahhhh self care....
This is one of those things. We know that we really really should do it, but we are really hard on our self when it doesn’t work immediately.
We try to focus on ourselves, even for just a second... Then.
We unintentionally move away from initial intention, start to judge ourselves, then the mind chatter begins and we begin to beat ourselves up for not being perfect.
"Well that didn’t work, I might as well just forget it!"
