The Apocalypse Post / Legends of Wasteland City

The Farlanders came to post-apocalyptic constuming through some other LARP and costuming worlds, and on today's episode they're sharing their expertise along with some dos and don'ts to make sure you're looking your absolute worst in the wastes.

Joining us is special guest co-host Winks of the Scam Bandits.

The Farlanders are also sponsoring this Sept's Patch of the Month, so join today at Patreon.com/theapocalypsepost

The Scam Bandits are a Wasteland tribe hailing from the Green Place.  They are super queer, host a gaming dome, and travel all the way in from Boston, MA every year.  Hang out with Winks and Snax as we find out how they make it happen, and get all the backstory on the Scam Bandits!

This month we're pleased to be talking to MotoPunk of the Dawn Patrol, a newish Wasteland Tribe who happens to be sponsoring July's Patch of the Month. Find out how they got started, and what the Dawn Patrol is all about, and don't forget to sign up for the Patch of the Month at the $10+ tiers at Patreon.com/TheApocalyspePost

I'm joined by Bastion, Golden, Winter, and Finn to talk about some of the great things that happened at Neotropolis 2025.

Immersive events have really taken off in the last decade. Building on events like Renaissance fairs, L.A.R.P.s, and other themed festivals, Wasteland Weekend and now Neotropolis (along with several others inspired by them) are costumes-mandatory festivals with fully themed areas where no-one looks out of place.  You can choose to be in character or just be yourself, but either way - you're in it!

Bridger Farlander has been attending Wasteland Weekend (Yearly in September) for almost a decade, but is not able to attend Neotropolis (yearly in April) due to work constraints, but that doesn't stop him from getting in on the immersion.  He's created Network 42 - a cyber-punk inspired news network that's broadcasting from "back on Earth" in middle Tennessee.  Find out how it works and how you can get involved.

Today we're hanging out with Jared Butler of Neotropolis to hear all about the festival and what to expect when you arrive on Kepler 609c.  We'll talk origins of the festival, get an overview of attending, and hear some teasers about this year's storyline.

In the conclusion to Don't Stop Shootin' Jeremiah and Liv find a little help as they have a deadly face-off with the Masters.

Trench joins us to talk about his first visit to Wasteland Weekend, being the voice of Kasper in The Ones Who Came Before and the meaning behind the design of March's Patch of the Month: The Skull Shovel.
