From the Barn Park to Villa Park.

John Uzzell grew up, like many of us, watching his heroes from the stands of Home Park. Little did the 8-year-old, watching the likes of Steve Davey and Johnny Hore, think he would go on to make over 350 appearances.

Thrust into first-team action as a teenager, Uz had ups and down in the Green of Argyle and was an ever present in the Pilgrims' run to the FA Cup semi-final in 1984.

A popular figure on and off the pitch, John will always be remembered as an Argyle legend.
