Join Karen and I for a movie review of the new Star Wars movie, (released Dec 2015).  We discuss the fun quotient of the movie and the value of seeing this flick.  Additionally, Karen gets a chance to add her two cents to last weeks podcast whereby I chided her for coming in to the room and abruptly turning off the radio I had been gleefully listening to for hours prior to her arrival.

It's not the big relationship rending discussions that make the most difference.  It's not the study and the reading that you've done for years that is crucial.  No No...  it sneaks up when you least expect it.  Wrapped in a little biting comment or a snide remark that almost goes un noticed-  but really is heard.  Those tiny moments are when the real work gets done.  Those are the little pebbles upon which torment and breakups are built.  Live your life handling the little five second interchanges that occur ALL THE TIME and the rest will be easy.

On December 5th of 1933 the U.S. Congress voted to repeal the 18th amendment to the constitution and end prohibition of alcohol.  The date of December 5th is called repeal day and is celebrated as the day that the binds and chains were removed allowing people again the freedom to express themselves with drink.  Actually they could always drink- that wasn't illegal.  But the manufacture for sale and transportation was illegal.  So we call Dec. 5th repeal day as the day your restrictions are removed and your can be who you were destined to be.  

Ice is forming on the channel out front.  The leaves are off the trees now and there is a bite in the air.  Time to go within and integrate all the things you've grown into this year.  Time to slow down and meditate more.  A great time to experience internal growth.

Did you ever notice that whenever you enter into a new relationship, significant romantic, at work, new friends...  often the same old issues will arise that dogged you from the last relationship?  Why is that?  What does that keep happening?  Often, especially in romantic relationships they will last for one month, a year or some other time frame and end each time at the same point.  What is happening is the issues that start to emerge, bubble up right on time-   And if it isn't handled this time around, it'll be the next and on and on and on and on...  Relationships are holy.  Use them to grow.

One person attempting to transmit the notion that they love you can be received in so many ways.  From not at all to...  you want to do WHAT to me???   Using words to communicate is like using bricks to describe how grapes taste.  Yet they are all we have and we just plow through.  What helps is if you try to tell me something in a language I understand.  Not German or Takritti, I mean touch or humor or praise or action favors or acts of loving kindness.  

Speak to me in my language-  Aaaah-  you mean you love me.

All the athletes and the big tough guys make it sound like they're the daring ones- they are the ones who take the risks.  The ones who jump out of planes or bungee jump or dare devil this or risk life and limb that...  I say the real risk comes when are prepared to and do bare your soul, your shame, your vulnerability and your weaknesses to your loved ones and let them see you...   I mean really you.  Then you will go where no man(woman) has gone before.

We spent three days up in Cohasset Minnesota, near Grand Rapids.  We were gifted the use of a cabin overlooking lake Pokegema, (Po-Keg-Ah-Ma).  It was an opportunity to let go, unwind and be free from the otherworldly trappings, TV, phones, computer, radio.  Just the birds, eagles, deer, the wind and the lake.  In this podcast we, (Karen and I), re-cap some of our observations and discoveries at the cabin on the lake.

Three different thoughts and all are interconnected.  In this podcast we start with an event that happened and we talk about it in terms of its deeper significance.  Then we shift to the next and the next...   no solutions, no breakthroughs, just enlightenment hopefully.

Current events scream for us to review the whys and the how comes of the event.  It's so easy to come up with a fast and expedient excuse explaining why something bad has happened.  Maybe too fast.  Maybe, as Einstein said, the answer to the question cannot be found on the same level as the problem.  Let's see what's happening - In the News.
