The NBA just announced the Most Valuable Player for the 2013-2014 season...  Who is it?  What is it?  The most valuable player in YOUR life- is your sourse.  For the NBA this year it's KEVIN DURANT.  Who is it for you?  Will it be (FILL IN THE BLANK_______)?

Science will tell you that all of the universe is connected.  We are just now begining to understand the Quantum meaning of our connectedness.  It is said that two particles of matter will inter - react to a stimulus no matter the distance between them.  What effects one will effect the other. no matter the distance between them.  Humannity exists because of interconnectedness.  And yet...  we still think we can go it alone,  we can do it all with no God, no other connections and no help.  ("We are the most obese, drug addicted, mal-nourished, stressed and in-debt cohort in the history of the United States" -Brene Brown). Nuf said.

"the penis is the dipstick of a relationship"-  so say's Dr. Oz or Phil or Oprah or maybe it was me.  I like it.  That rings true for me.  Your sexual relationship with your significant other is like the canary in the coal mine, if I may beg your indulgence.  If the sex situation deteriorates or becomes lack luster- it's a pretty good indicator that there is trouble in the relationship, difficulty communicating, vulnerability or lack there of.  If that canary starts to look sickly, so goes the relationship--  The Big Sex.  Join the conversation.

The right one for you isn't the one who fulfills all the items on your check list, or the one you dream of or maybe not even the one who is your "soul mate".  No-  the right one for you is the one who is willing to stay in the crucuble with you when times get tough and who will walk the walk with you both high and low.

Relationships big or small, your neighbor or your mate of 65 years...  even the guy you work with-  all these relationships are founded on human communication - and - your willingness to be vulnerableThe success of and smoothness in those relationshipscan easily be traced back to your skill in communicating from your heart and letting your ego go away.  NOT SO EASY IS IT.  Let's delve more deeply into  "The Heart of being Human".

Fritz Perls in his book 'gestalt is' describes the silliness of an elephant trying to be an eagle or the absurdity of an eagle thinking it really wants to be a blade of grass.  The elephant just is...  It eats and roams and nurtures its family and lives magnificently, as does the eagle, never thinking or trying to be anything other than it self.  Then there are the humans, who are continuously and constantly in a pitched effort to change what and who they are and be something they are not.  We play game, assume rolls and numb ourselves in the process.  Uncover the truth about who what and how you are, and just be...  Just be the elephant.

So often I will drag these useless chunks of baggage out of my closet where they have been long since burried and rehash them, re-feel them and give them new life, and for what???There is only one way to rid yourself of these resentiments, guilt, anger or fear from the ancient past  -  forgiveness.  Let it go.
