As all our festivals resume again, it's great to see the Cork French Film Festival reclaim its calendar place at the start of March. Spring wasn't the same without it! Organised by the team at Alliance Francaise de Cork, headed by Valerie David McGonnell and Josselin le Gall, the main screenings take place at The Gate Cinema. Tracey O Brien of the Gate Cinema had the run-down on this year's Gala films for the 2023 festival.

Well anticipation is building ahead of the Ortús Chamber Music Festival, founded by Mairead Hickey and Sinead O Halloran. Catherine Mahon Buckley and Fionuala Linehan joined Elmarie and Conor live in studio to chat about the upcoming production of "Sisters". This play by Declan Hassett was first brought to the stage by Tony-Award-Winning Anna Manahan, who also toured the show to the States. This time, Cork audiences get to see two incredible actresses take on the roles of Martha and Mary, the sisters both bound and separated by the same shared experiences. It opens in the Cork Arts Theatre on March 1st.
