Bláithín MacGabhann has grown up listening to the best of music all her life, as her family owns, runs and lives at The Corner House on Coburg Street in the heart of Cork City. Renowned for the quality of music every night of the week, it's a pub with a special atmosphere and place in the lives of musicians and everyone who visits. In a special partnership with The Everyman and Islander, a Live Video Stream from the Corner House will be broadcast on Friday April 2nd. Bláithín told Elmarie all about it.

Máirtín de Cógáin is back with a new single and it's a New York Love Story. The tale of how his wife's grandparents met. This song was written as a reward for a fundit campaign so it goes to show it can be worth it! This sweet song is timeless and so romantic, and Elmarie enjoyed getting the back story to it when she Zoomed with Máirtín who now lives in San Diego.

I m gripped by this series with the last few weeks as Conor Tallon delves back into the archives of Frameworks Films, the Cork documentary company celebrating 21 years of filming Cork's history. This week it's the story of the Ford factory and the people who worked there. The closure of Ford's was a major blow to Cork, but the memories in this documentary are golden.

The 2021 is kinda important, because since Covid struck last year, there's been a steady stream of concerts and music from Carrigaline. You can still see all the old past concerts on YouTube, but this Easter Sunday there's a new Concert for Hope raising money for Cork ARC, and Elmarie is passionate about it this year as this is also the week she starts Radiotherapy herself. She chatted to Concert Director and violinist Brian Murphy to raise awareness.

Cork Community Art Link never fail to surprise and delight us, and even though we can't line the streets to see their creations, the creations ARE READY! Until we are allowed gather in crowds again, the creation for St Patrick's Day will be available online. William Frode de la Foret told Elmarie what to expect, and taught her something new!

With another new single, Fiona Kennedy is on a writing roll, and topped the iTunes Charts on Thursday when she released her new single. A Gospel / Country vibe wasn't initially how she'd described it, but who cares about labels when people simply enjoy her music!!
