The Ash Holes

It’s our Anniversary Show and last year we named the Serino Royale our Cigar of the Year. Today we kick off Year #2 with the son of Tony Serino; Carson Serino. We light up his cigar Wayfarer which was inspired by a trek across Iceland.

We’ll look back at some of the top shows of the past year as we give you our thoughts on The Wayfarer and we introduce this weeks Top 5 list.

It's not often a retailer gets a cigar named after him and David Garofalo joined the ranks of Zino Davidoff when Perdomo Cigars bestowed him with the honor. Not bad for a guy who started with stores in locations like Everett & East Boston, MA. 

Last week we took a look at four short cigars, and this week we conclude that look with two cigars that are perfect for that brisk evening walk. In the first half hour we will light up the Aladino Santi and follow it up with the La Flor Dominican Petit La Nox.

We will discuss Lanceros and Panatelas and offer some our our knowledge on why they are sought by some and overlooked by others.

His family wanted him to be a Doctor, but instead he wound up in the cigar industry where he made his name in his home country of Cuba. He wound up in Naples where he met Rocky Patel and today we will sit down with and get to know Hamlet Paredes as we light up some of his acclaimed cigars.
