A regular working stiffs, a technician, a data center worker. He looks at the screen, he sees what the C I A and the Pentagon are doing, and he decides to walk. He accuses the giant tech company of powering the genocide in Gaza through their Azure cloud infrastructure. Let’s start with Brazil, because if you think this is a free election or a free society, you have been had. Brasil Wire is reporting that Elon Musk, that self-proclaimed “tech genius” who is actually just a well-funded fascist agent, is leading a propaganda blitz against Brazil’s democracy. You think this is just random Twitter posts? It’s a digital proto-coup, man. Meanwhile, the US government is actively trying to shut down Brazilian journalism. The US State Department is threatening to sanction anyone who dares to report on the coup attempt, the torture of journalists, or the fact that the US military is training Brazilian cops to murder Black people and indigenous folks. The US government denies any civilians were hurt in the bombing that killed twelve other people. They offer him no hope, no compensation, just silence. It also proposes easing oil sanctions on Iran, unfreezing Iranian assets and launching a $300 billion investment fund to rebuild Iran, all while tabling the question of Iran’s nuclear program. That’s right, the US is finally getting its fucking ass handed to it on a silver platter, and Nasr is calling it a triumph for Iran and a humiliation for the US, but the mainstream media is trying to spin it as a “deal” that benefits everyone, when in reality, it’s just the US saying “fuck off” to a country that has been fighting for its life for decades. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, Moscow is shooting down more than 80 drones, just days after a repeated Ukrainian strike on the city’s oil refinery, while Russian attacks in Ukraine killed at least six people, including a boy and his father, authorities said. The Daily Maverick SA is reporting from Africa that this is the new reality, a new normal where children are dying in the crossfire of a war that the world pretends doesn’t exist. And over in Lebanon, Israel just killed turtle conservationist Mona Khalil with an air strike on her home near Tyre.
